David Letterman among Week 13 guests on ManningCast

Eli and Peyton Manning have welcomed a wide range of guests throughout the season to their Monday Night Football broadcast.

The last time we saw the Manning brothers on a Monday night was during the Week 11 matchup between the Giants and Buccaneers, which had a guest list that included Bill Parcells, Kevin Hart, Condoleezza Rice and Julian Edelman.

The guests on this week's broadcast were just as intriguing, as the Week 13 ManningCast during the Patriots-Bills game saw guest appearances from former late night television talk show host David Letterman, former NFL cornerback Aqib Talib and legendary sports broadcaster Joe Buck.

Eli and Peyton have a history with Letterman, as both Manning's appeared as guests on the Late Show with David Letterman several times over the years.

Talib spent 12 seasons in the NFL with five different teams. The two-time Pro Bowl cornerback was a member of the Denver Broncos for four seasons, including the final two of Peyton's career. The two were teammates during the Broncos' run to a Super Bowl 50 title.

Buck has been a broadcaster for NFL on FOX since its inception in 1994. The eight-time Sports Emmy Award winner and three-time National Sports Broadcaster of the Year has called six Super Bowls, including Super Bowl XLII in which the Giants defeated the Patriots 17-14 following the 2007 season. He was also the play-by-play broadcaster for Super Bowl XLVII between the Broncos and Seahawks, a game in which Peyton found himself on the losing side as Denver fell 43-8.

Here are the top moments from the Week 13 ManningCast.

QB Jake Fromm next man up if Daniel Jones, Mike Glennon can't play

The Giants’ quarterback drama continues to play out with unexpected plot twists.

Monday's developments included Daniel Jones' latest examination, Mike Glennon's first full day in the NFL concussion protocol, Jake Fromm's likely elevation to first-team quarterback when the team practices on Wednesday – at the University of Arizona, their headquarters for the week — and quarterbacks coach Jerry Schuplinski's positive test for COVID-19.

Backup offensive lineman Wes Martin also tested positive for COVID.

If Fromm starts Sunday in Los Angeles against the Chargers, it will be his first action in an NFL regular-season game. The Giants also have quarterback Brian Lewerke on their practice squad.

Jones was inactive for the Giants' 20-9 loss yesterday in Miami because of the neck injury he suffered last week against Philadelphia.

"We have some variables this week obviously in terms of Daniel's seeing some doctors today, receiving some different opinions and diagnosis and things of that nature," coach Joe Judge said. "When we find out more information on him, that'll give us a better idea going through this week."

Jones was replaced in the lineup by Glennon, completed 23 of 44 passes. After the game, the Giants announced that Glennon sustained a concussion. On Oct. 10, Jones suffered a concussion in a game in Dallas. He cleared the league's protocol and played the following week vs. the Rams.

"In terms of Mike, obviously he's in the protocol," Judge said. "The optimistic view would be to have him ready for the game on Sunday. We'll see where that goes."
