[GAME RECAP: GIANTS MOVE INTO FIRST PLACE IN THE NFC EAST WITH COMEBACK WIN IN DALLAS
](http://www.giants.com/news-and-blogs/article-1/Giants-Beat-Cowboys-37-34/f13e25ae-83ec-45a5-9785-2e7e8bbcbb1a)For someone who has practically perfected the fourth-quarter comeback, Eli Manning has what seems like a strange wish.
"It's a fun way to win," Manning said, "but I'd like to have a lead and try to hold onto one for once."
It appears that won't happen. Not this year. Not with these Giants. And with the perpetually calm Manning throwing footballs, they don't seem to need one.
For the sixth time this season – a franchise record – Manning led the Giants to a victory in a game in which they trailed or were tied in the fourth quarter. He orchestrated the latest comeback in Cowboys Stadium, where they Giants are 3-0, after scoring two touchdowns in the final 3:14 to defeat Dallas, 37-34, in a game that featured eight lead changes. Brandon Jacobs scored the game-winner on a one-yard run with 46 seconds left, the second time this season the Giants scored the go-ahead touchdown with less than a minute remaining (they scored the game-winner at New England with 15 seconds left).
The victory was preserved when Jason Pierre-Paul blocked Dan Bailey's 47-yard field goal attempt with one second left.
**POSTGAME QUOTES
*Coach Coughlin: *"I am proud of the way we battled. It was not easy. There are plays out there that you shake your head, but they had a few of those too. They were on both sides. When we threw the interception on the screen it didn't look very good, but we were able to take the ball knowing we were down two scores and stay over the ball march down score. Our defense did a heck of a job, we got the ball right back and that was the story of the game. Forty six seconds is not enough, but thank god we got in the position we did." FULL TRANSCRIPT
