Game Balls: Standouts from preseason opener 🏈

The New York Giants flew to Buffalo to take on the Bills in the first game of the preseason.

Russell Wilson got his first start under center as a member of the Giants before giving way to rookie Jaxson Dart, who made his NFL debut. All four quarterbacks saw the field Saturday and all four led the offense on scoring drives as the Giants emerged with a 34-25 victory.

Here are the top performers from the Giants' preseason win against the Bills.

RUSSELL-WILSON

QB RUSSELL WILSON

Quarterback Russell Wilson played just one series and completed 6 of 7 passes for 28 yards as he led the offense down the field for a field goal on the opening drive.

JAXSON-DART

QB JAXSON DART

Quarterback Jaxson Dart played well in his NFL debut as he completed 12 of 19 passes for 154 yards and a touchdown to finish with a 106.0 passer rating. Dart also added three rush attempts for 24 yards (8.0 avg.).

JAMEIS-WINSTON

QB JAMEIS WINSTON

Quarterback Jameis Winston started the second half and led three drives, the final one ending with a 7-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Gunner Olszewski. Winston finished the game 7 of 11 for 62 yards and the score for a 108.9 passer rating while adding a 12-yard run.

TOMMY-DEVITO

QB TOMMY DeVITO

Quarterback Tommy DeVito was the fourth signal-caller to take the field for the Giants. The third-year QB completed 10 of 14 passes for 73 yards and a touchdown, finishing with a 107.1 passer rating.

GRAHAM-GANO

K GRAHAM GANO

Kicker Graham Gano showed off his strong leg on Saturday. The veteran kicker connected on all three of his field goal attempts, all of which were from 50+ yards. Gano also made his lone extra point attempt.

LIL-JORDAN-HUMPHREY

WR LIL'JORDAN HUMPHREY

Wide receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey had just two catches on the day but made them count as he totaled 36 yards and a touchdown.

DANTE-MILLER

RB DANTE MILLER

Running back Dante Miller was held to 22 yards on the ground, but made a significant impact in the passing game where he caught a game-high seven passes for 80 yards to finish with over 100 yards from scrimmage.

GUNNER-OLSZEWSKI

WR GUNNER OLSZEWSKI

Wide receiver Gunner Olszewski continued his strong play from training camp in Buffalo, where he pulled in five passes for 27 yards and a touchdown.

TRACE-FORD-FUMBLE

OLB TRACE FORD

Rookie outside linebacker Trace Ford had the only takeaway of the day for the defense, recovering a fumble late in the fourth quarter which led to the game-clinching touchdown. Ford finished the game with four tackles (one solo), one quarterback hit and the fumble recovery.
