The New York Football Giants announced today that they are re-launching their popular "Player Cam" promotion, called "Tolly Cam," featuring defensive end Dave Tollefson. From Tuesday, January 31 to Sunday, February 5, fans can visit Facebook.com/NewYorkGiants and click on the "Tolly Cam" tab to help unlock a new player-shot video that will be posted each day.
"Tolly Cam" is a re-launch of the popular 2007 promotion "Sam Cam," where Giants defensive back Sam Madison provided an "insider's view" during the days leading up to New York's 17-14 victory against the previously undefeated New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII. Personally shot with a digital recorder, Madison provided fans with rarely-seen footage ranging from the team's flight to Arizona, at the team hotel and at various events leading up to the big game. Each day, the previous day's footage was edited and posted on Giants.com.
This year's player cam will feature defensive end Dave Tollefson. A new video will be posted each day on the Giants' Facebook page. In order for that day's video to be unlocked, the Giants must gain 10,000 new "likes". A "NYG Like Meter" will be displayed on the page to show progress.
