Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley and Sterling Shepard team up to help New Yorkers in need

Three of the Giants' leaders have come together for a great cause.

Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley and Sterling Shepard have teamed up to help New Yorkers in need during this unprecedented time. They have joined up with Robin Hood, an organization that has been fighting against poverty in New York City for over 30 years, to raise money to support vulnerable New Yorkers and the organizations on the frontlines that serve them during the COVID-19 crisis.

As Jones writes on the donation page, "Saquon, Sterling, and I are teaming up to help New Yorkers in need during this unprecedented time. Robin Hood has their finger on the pulse of New Yorkers in poverty and we want to help out. Please join our team or donate. Anything you can contribute to the cause will make a difference!

Since Robin Hood covers all overhead expenses, 100% of your donation will immediately feed the hungry and provide emergency cash assistance, housing, job security and more to those who need it most."

Pro Football Focus lists Andrew Thomas vs. Chase Young as matchup to watch from 2020 draft

Right before the Giants selected offensive tackle Andrew Thomas with the fourth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins drafted edge rusher Chase Young with the second overall pick.

With two of the top players in the draft landing in the NFC East, one being an offensive lineman and the other being a pass rusher, matchups between the two will undoubtedly be observed with a close eye for years to come. In fact, Pro Football Focus broke down the divisional matchups to watch from the 2020 draft, and at the very top of the list was the battle between Thomas and Young.

As PFF's Steve Palazzolo wrote, "Two of the top four picks in the draft will see plenty of each other in the coming years. Young is the best defensive player in the draft, coming off the best season we've seen for an edge defender, with a 96.0 overall grade. Thomas has the cleanest grading profile of any offensive tackle in a deep class, as he ranked fifth as a pass blocker last year at 89.0 and second as a run blocker at 91.7."

Giants claim QB Cooper Rush off waivers

The Giants claimed former Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush off waivers Tuesday.

A four-year starter at Central Michigan, Rush joined the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2017. The rookie quarterback put on a show that preseason, completing 74% of his passes with six touchdowns and zero interceptions in four games. Rush defeated Luke McCown and Zac Dysert in a competition to be the team's third quarterback behind Dak Prescott and Kellen Moore.

Following Moore's release later that season, Rush took over as the team's backup quarterback, a role he has served in every year since then. Appearing in five games over the last three seasons, Rush completed one of three pass attempts for three yards.

In his four seasons at Central Michigan, Rush completed a total of 62.0% of his passes for 12,891 yards, 90 touchdowns and 55 interceptions. He ranks second in school history in total passing yards and passing touchdowns, and holds the record for most passing yards in a season with 3,848 (2015).
