On the last day of training camp, we had regular practice. The next day we had the same walkthrough. We did all the same stuff, and then the day before the game, we had our regular walkthrough. We came back to the hotel, rested for a while, took a nap and went through the playbook. Then we had meetings at night at the hotel. The next morning, we got to sleep in a little bit before more meetings and took another nap. I got ready and we drove over to the game.

After we got into the locker room, I went out on the field early. I went over some drills with the other linebackers to try and get ready a little bit. It's an unbelievable stadium. Everything is top of the line. I don't really try to focus on the crowd or anything during the game, I try to just focus on what's happening on the field. I think it definitely got loud, and it was only half filled. So it can get real loud in the regular season.

On Greg Jones' punt block, we had a different type of holdup going, and Greg saw that, I guess, the guy was playing off him a little bit. So he had a great play. He blocked it, ran down and recovered the kick. Jacquian Williams recovered the fumble, and unfortunately we couldn't advance. But it was a great play, big turning point. You want to have big plays on special teams, you want to have big plays on offense, big plays on defense. That was definitely a big play to set up a score on special teams, which is one of the goals we try to do every week. I think that special teams as a whole played well. We had a big kickoff return also that was a booster.

On 4th and 2 at the NYG 4 with three minutes to go in the game: Caleb Hanie pass short middle intended for Dane Sanzenbacher INTERCEPTED by Herzlich at NYG 2. Herzlich to NYG 5 for 3 yards.
On the interception play, they got down to the four- or five-yard line. We were in a coverage, so I didn't want to chase guys through my zone and got a couple re-routes. I was backed up on the goal line and saw him throw the ball. I put my hands up and just caught it. I tried to get a couple yards but went down quickly. I dropped the ball after the play and was just kind of running off the field. Michael Coe picked it up and brought it back to me. He told me, 'You've got to keep this, it's your first pick.' So I kept it and they put it in my locker for me.
