Week 1 @ Washington Commanders
Time & Date: Sunday, Sept. 7 (1 p.m. ET)
Location: Northwest Stadium
Record vs. Opponent: 107-72-5 regular season (1-1 postseason)
Last Meeting: Nov. 3, 2024 (L, 27-22)
Season No. 101 opens in Washington, the first leg of back-to-back road games against NFC East rivals to start the year (the Giants play at Dallas in Week 2). It will be the 187th meeting, including postseason, which makes it the Giants' most frequently contested rivalry. But both teams are looking to the future. Jayden Daniels, the second overall pick in last year's draft, led Washington to its first NFC Championship Game since 1991 while picking up the AP NFL Rookie of the Year Awards. Malik Nabers, his former LSU teammate, was a finalist for the award after setting the Giants' single-season reception record. Meanwhile, it will be the debut of third overall pick Abdul Carter, whom the Giants hope has a similar impact on the other side of the ball.
Week 3 vs. Kansas City Chiefs (Home Opener on SNF)
Time & Date: Sunday, Sept. 21 (8:20 p.m.)
Location: MetLife Stadium
Record vs. Opponent: 11-4
Last Meeting: Nov. 1, 2021 (L, 20-17)
Two-time NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes has played 133 games in his illustrious career, but only one against the Giants so far. This will be his first trip to face them at MetLife Stadium. He will do so under the lights as the Giants' 2025 home opener will be played on Sunday Night Football. It will be the first opportunity for Giants fans to see key newcomers play in person. The Giants kicked off free agency with the signings of safety Jevón Holland and cornerback Paulson Adebo. Russell Wilson, a 10-time Pro Bowl selection, will make his home Giants debut at the stadium where he won the Super Bowl with Seattle.
Week 6 vs. Philadelphia Eagles (TNF)
Time & Date: Thursday, Oct. 9 (8:15 p.m.)
Location: MetLife Stadium
Record vs. Opponent: 86-92-2 (2-3 postseason)
Last Meeting: Jan. 5, 2025 (L, 20-13)
Three weeks after hosting the AFC champions in primetime at home, the Giants will do the same against the defending NFC (and Super Bowl) champions. The Eagles thwarted the Chiefs' three-peat bid this past February and will attempt to make more history when it comes to the division. There has not been a repeat NFC East champion since Philadelphia won four in a row from 2001 to 2004. The Giants play 10 regular-season games against teams who made the postseason in 2024 – Eagles twice, Commanders twice, Packers, Vikings, Chiefs, Chargers, Broncos, and Lions – which is tied for third-most in the league. The Eagles and Lions have the most with 11 apiece.
Week 7 @ Denver Broncos
Time & Date: Sunday, Oct. 19 (4:05 p.m.)
Location: Empower Field at Mile High
Record vs. Opponent: 6-7 (1-0 postseason)
Last Meeting: Sept. 12, 2021 (L, 27-13)
There are 15 Super Bowl rematches on the 2025 NFL schedule. The Giants account for two of them, both of which will be played on the road. They face the Broncos (XXI) in Week 7 at Empower Field at Mile High and the Patriots (XLII and XLVI) in a Week 13 Monday night game in Foxborough.
Week 7 will be Wilson's return to Denver, where he started 30 games in two seasons. Meanwhile, it will be Sean Payton's first game against the Giants since he took over as head coach in Denver following a championship tenure with New Orleans. Payton is no stranger to the Giants, having served on their coaching staff during their 2000 run to the Super Bowl. The Giants were victorious in their most recent trip to Mile High in 2017.
Week 13 @ New England Patriots (MNF)
Time & Date: Monday, Dec. 1, 8:15 p.m.
Location: Gillette Stadium
Record vs. Opponent: 5-7 (2-0 postseason)
Last Meeting: Nov. 26, 2023 (W, 10-7)
Brian Daboll is no stranger to New England, where he won five Super Bowls as an assistant with the Patriots. After he won another championship at the college level, Daboll returned to the AFC East for four years as the Bills' offensive coordinator.
Super Bowls aside, the Giants and Patriots have played in some tight games of their own in the regular season. Their previous 12 meetings have been decided by a total of 14 points, including nine, one-possession games. Six of them have been decided by a field goal or less.
After their trip to New England, the Giants go on their bye in Week 14, the latest possible slot in the NFL. They return to action for back-to-back home games against Washington and Minnesota, a trip to Las Vegas in Week 17, and the regular-season finale against Dallas at MetLife Stadium.
