Tuesday, Dec. 16

9 a.m. -- OLB Abdul Carter was nominated for Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week. His three tackles for loss against Washington are tied for the most by a Giants rookie since they became an official statistic in 1999. OLB Kayvon Thibodeaux was the last Giants rookie to accomplish this feat on Dec. 18, 2022, also against Washington. Carter became the first Giants rookie to record two forced fumbles in a single game since DE Jason Pierre-Paul in 2010.

With Carter, the Giants' top four draft picks in the 2025 class have now been nominated at least once for the weekly award. QB Jaxson Dart (No. 25 overall pick) was nominated after each of his first six starts, which led to him being named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for October. RB Cam Skattebo (fourth round) was nominated three times before suffering a season-ending ankle injury in Week 8. DL Darius Alexander (third round) was up for the award in Week 12.

Monday, Dec. 15

5:16 p.m. – DL Elijah Chatman and P Cameron Johnston reverted to the practice squad after being elevated for Week 15.

10 a.m. -- Speaking to the media the morning after Sunday's loss to the Commanders, interim head coach Mike Kafka said everyone "came out clean" in terms of the in-game injury report. The Giants entered the game with four players inactive due to injuries: OLB Kayvon Thibodeaux (shoulder), P Jamie Gillan (left knee), WR Gunner Olszewski (concussion), and DL Rakeem Nuñez-Roches Sr. (ankle). OLB Victor Dimukeje (knee) and CB Nic Jones (shoulder) were placed on injured reserve.

Sunday, Dec. 14

11:30 p.m. -- QB J.J. McCarthy threw two touchdowns and ran for another in the Vikings' 34-26 victory at Dallas on Sunday Night Football. Minnesota, which defeated Washington 31-0 the week before, improved to 6-8 and has won back-to-back games following a four-game losing streak. They will head to MetLife Stadium in Week 16 to face the 2-12 Giants, who have lost five consecutive regular-season games to the Vikings. However, the Giants won a 2022 Wild Card matchup during that streak.

4:12 p.m. -- The Giants extended their losing streak to eight games with a 29-21 home loss to the Commanders, who had lost eight consecutive outings of their own entering Sunday. QB Jaxson Dart became the fourth player since 2000 to throw for 1,800+ yards and rush for 400 or more yards in his first nine career starts, joining Jayden Daniels, Jalen Hurts, and Robert Griffin III. OLB Abdul Carter had a breakout game with seven tackles (three for loss), two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, and a sack. However, their performances weren't enough to overcome a game in which the Giants missed two field goals and allowed another punt return touchdown.
