Giants land among PFF's 10 favorite team draft classes

Evaluations of the 2024 NFL Draft are still rolling in, and analysts are continuing to applaud the Giants for their draft haul.

The Giants' draft class consists of six players:

The latest expert to praise the team's draft haul is Pro Football Focus' Sam Monson, who named the Giants among his 10 favorite team draft classes.

"An incredibly explosive playmaker, Nabers can function from every receiver alignment at all depths of the defense," wrote Monson. "He earned a 93.1 PFF receiving grade last season and generated 3.64 yards per route run, an elite figure.

"Tyler Nubin has first-round tape but was available in the second because his 40-yard dash time isn't exceptional. Andru Phillips at cornerback and Theo Johnson at tight end both have a pathway to significant playing time, and running back Tyrone Tracy in the fifth round has exceptional potential. A former receiver, Tracy is incredibly difficult to get to the ground, having averaged 4.44 yards after contact last season and breaking 46 tackles."

Monson has been steadfast with his approval of the Giants' draft class.

Immediately following the conclusion of the draft, PFF's lead draft analyst named the Giants' draft haul among his favorites. Earlier this week, he also named the Giants' selection of Nubin at No. 47 as one of the draft's "great value picks."

"Tyler Nubin, the only reason he's not a first-round player is his 40-time," Monson said on NFL Network. "I think if this guy ran a 4.4 flat, we would be talking about him as a first-round player because the production, the grading, is there. An 89.2 PFF grade last season, a grade above 90 in coverage. He hits extremely hard, he's usually in the right position at the right time, has incredible eyes when it comes to balancing looking at the quarterback and looking at the routes developing, as well. He's a fantastic player who slipped into the second round simply because he doesn't run as fast as NFL teams would like him to."
