The Giants were unable to complete the season sweep of the Eagles as they lost on the road, 38-20, to their division rival.

Heading into Week 9, the Giants are now 2-6. They will look to snap their two-game losing streak at home against the 49ers this Sunday.

The defeat was marred by the loss of running back Cam Skattebo, who went down with a serious ankle injury early in the second quarter.

Here are snap counts and takeaways from Week 8.

Quarterback

  • Jaxson Dart - 52 offensive snaps (100 percent)

Sunday was the first game Dart went up against an opponent for the second time. The rookie quarterback completed 14 of 24 passes for 193 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions for a passer rating of 98.1. He also added 17 yards and an additional score on the ground. Dart became the only quarterback in the Super Bowl era with eight or more pass touchdowns, four or more rush touchdowns, and fewer than five giveaways in his first five career starts.

The offense took a big blow with the loss of Skattebo, who entered Week 8 leading all rookies in total yards from scrimmage and touchdowns. Before his early departure, the rookie gained 12 yards on three carries and caught one pass for an 18-yard touchdown. Tracy stepped in as the lead back following the injury, and the second-year player had 10 carries for 39 yards with two receptions for 14 yards. Singletary got some action on offense, as well, and came up with a 28-yard reception, while also returning two kickoffs for 51 yards (25.5 avg.).

In addition to playing the most snaps, Robinson also led the wide receivers with three receptions for 48 yards. Slayton finished second with two receptions for 26 yards, although he did have a long touchdown called back due to an offensive pass interference penalty. Collins was the only other receiver to record a catch, pulling in one pass for 18 yards. Olszewski returned three kickoffs for 94 yards (31.3 avg.).
