Follow the road through the 2026 season with our latest updates as the Giants prepare for their Week 1 matchup at home against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football.

Wednesday, September 2

12:30 p.m. -- While speaking to the media, GM Joe Schoen announced the signing of OL Geno VanDeMark to the practice squad. In a corresponding move, DB JT Woods was released from the practice squad.

2026-UNIFORM-SCHEDULE

10:00 a.m. -- The Giants revealed their uniform schedule for the upcoming 2026 season, presented by Panini.

The two Legacy Games presented by Quest® will take place on Oct. 4 vs Arizona and Dec. 6 vs San Francisco at MetLife Stadium. The team will wear their classic 80s era blue uniform and rebrand the stadium to include their classic helmet design at midfield and vintage end zones with "GIANTS" block lettering.

During the Week 4 matchup against the Cardinals, the Giants will honor the 40th anniversary of the franchise's iconic 1986 Championship team with a special halftime ceremony.

The team will once again bring back their "Vintage White" color rush uniforms for back-to-back games at Philadelphia (Week 9), presented by EA SPORTSTM Madden 27, and home against Washington (Week 10), presented by Verizon, on Thursday Night Football. The uniform includes the classic navy helmet with the underlined "GIANTS" wordmark on both sides.

The Eagles will also be wearing their classic "Kelly Green" uniforms during the Week 9 matchup.

Outside of the four Vintage White and Legacy weeks, the Giants will wear their "NY" helmet with present-day blue jerseys and white pants for eight regular-season games, and their current white uniform for five games.

Tuesday, September 1

3:53 p.m. -- The New York Giants today filled the four remaining spots on the practice squad with the signing of the following players:

  • OL Kingsley Eguakun
  • WR Charlie Jones
  • OL Darian Kinnard
  • DB Elijah Jones

With these additions, the Giants now have 17 members on the practice squad. Clubs are allowed 17 players on the practice squad, as long as one player qualifies and is designated as an international player (OL Jarrod Gray).

12:00 p.m. -- WR Odell Beckham Jr. took a big step in his comeback journey on Sunday when it was announced that he made the initial 53-man roster.

Now this next chapter of his New York Giants story will have a familiar look to it.

Beckham will once again wear the No. 13, the same number he had on for every game during his first five seasons with the Giants.

"I think we all know what that means to me, and there definitely will be some conversations," Beckham told the media Monday about the No. 13. "I'll just say we'll see what happens, but like I said, it would be an honor and a privilege to put that back on."

In just 59 games with the Giants from 2014-2018, Beckham climbed all the way up to second in franchise history in receiving yards (5,476) and fourth in both receptions (390) and receiving touchdowns (44). His 92.8 receiving yards per game is the highest average by any Giants player with at least 50 games played by a wide margin, with Homer Jones being the next closest at 66.4.

The 33-year-old needs just six receptions to move ahead of Joe Morrison for the third-most in Giants history. Meanwhile, with five more touchdown catches, Beckham would move up to second on the franchise's all-time list, passing both Morrison and Kyle Rote.

"I know he knows he accomplished a lot," coach John Harbaugh said Monday. "It's kind of unheard of, in some ways, to be away for so long to come back. I don't know how many times this has actually been done. It would be interesting to see, but the odds were probably against him, I would say. He overcame the odds and did it.

"Now what do you do with it? And that's what he's focused on."

*Beckham isn't the only player on the active roster to get a new number, as rookie WR Malachi Fields will now wear No. 88.
