Vote Daniel Jones for Pepsi Rookie of the Week

Following his stellar performance in his first career NFL start, Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has been nominated for the Pepsi Rookie of the Week Award.

Jones looked impressive leading New York's offense for the first time in the regular season, throwing for 336 yards, two touchdowns, zero interceptions and a 112.7 passer rating against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The sixth overall pick in April's draft also added two rushing touchdowns, including the game-winning score with only 1:16 left in the fourth quarter.

Jones became the first rookie quarterback to throw for at least 300 yards, pass for two touchdowns and rush for two touchdowns in a single game since 1970 while helping the Giants overcome a 28-10 halftime deficit.

The NFL has already named the rookie quarterback as the the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 3.

The other nominees for the Pepsi Rookie of the Week award are Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew (20-for-30 for 204 yards, two touchdowns, zero interceptions and a 108.2 passer rating), Cowboys running back Tony Pollard (13 rushes for 103 yards and a touchdown), Steelers linebacker Devin Bush (team-leading 11 total tackles and two fumble recoveries), and Redskins wide receiver Terry McLaurin (six receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown).

Giants star running back Saquon Barkley was named the 2018 Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year after his outstanding rookie season last year.

The Pepsi Rookie of the Week award is decided by a fan vote each week, so be sure to show your support to Big Blue by casting a vote for Daniel Jones.
