The Giants (4-4) found themselves on the losing end of the second-highest scoring game in franchise history Sunday, a 52-49 loss to the Saints (4-4) in New Orleans.
|
Big Blue scored 21 unanswered points to start the fourth quarter, giving them a 49-42 lead, but Saints kicker Kai Forbath connected on a 50-yard game-winning field goal as time expired. The Giants stay in the NFC South this week, with a trip to Tampa Bay (3-4) on Sunday.
Elsewhere in the NFC East, both Washington (3-4) and the Eagles (3-4) were idle last weekend. Washington visits the undefeated Patriots (7-0) this Sunday, while the Eagles return to action with a trip to Dallas (2-5) on Sunday Night Football. The Cowboys, after Sunday's 13-12 home loss to the Seahawks (4-4), have lost five games in a row and remain winless without quarterback Tony Romo.
