5 Players to Watch vs. Jets
Keep an eye on these five players as the Giants take on the Jets Saturday

WR VICTOR CRUZAll signs point toward the veteran playing in his first game since October of 2014. Cruz, who missed the first two preseason games because of a groin injury, practiced fully this week and showed flashes of his old self. Cruz's last two seasons came to an end because of separate knee and calf injuries.

DB LEON HALLRookie Darian Thompson suffered a shoulder injury in last Saturday's game against the Bills and will not play this week. Leon Hall, who played mostly corner in his nine previous seasons in Cincinnati, lined up next to Landon Collins at times this week, as did Nat Berhe and Justin Currie.

LB JASPER BRINKLEYJasper Brinkley and Kelvin Sheppard are "still neck and neck" in the competition to start at middle linebacker, according to defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. Brinkley started the first preseason game against Miami before Sheppard got the nod at Buffalo.

CB ELI APPLEThe 10th overall pick out of Ohio State missed last week's game because of a leg injury but expects to play on Saturday against the Jets. After seeing time in the slot earlier in camp, Apple has been honing his skills at left corner.

KICKER RANDY BULLOCKWith kicker Josh Brown suspended for the season opener for violating the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy, the Giants signed Randy Bullock this week. Both are expected to kick on Saturday as Bullock competes to stay on the roster for 17 weeks, not just one.
