Giants vs. Lions: 5 Players to Watch
Keep an eye on these five players when the New York Giants travel to face the Detroit Lions in Week 8.

WR GOLDEN TATE: The former Lion has 182 yards receiving over the last two weeks, including 94 yards after catch, the most in the NFL among wide receivers in that span.

RB SAQUON BARKLEY: Barkley, who had 80 yards from scrimmage in his first game back from an ankle injury, faces a Lions defense giving up 139.2 rushing yards per game.

LB DEONE BUCANNON: We will wait to see how much he plays, but the newly-signed "money linebacker" has experience in James Bettcher's scheme. That should allow the hybrid playmaker to get up to speed quickly with his new team.

S MICHAEL THOMAS: A 2018 Pro Bowl selection as a special teamer, Thomas blocked a punt last week against Arizona that Eli Penny recovered in the end zone for a touchdown. He is also making an impact on defense with 22 tackles and two passes defensed.

WR DARIUS SLAYTON: With wide receiver Sterling Shepard still in the concussion protocol, the rookie has taken on a bigger role in the offense and become one of Daniel Jones' favorite targets.
