CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

  • As a rookie, Chatman played in all 17 games with three starts…Collected 21 tackles (11 solo), 2 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, 3 quarterback hits and 1 fumble recovery…Produced 3 tackles (2 solo), 1 tackle for loss, and his first career sack and fumble recovery at Cleveland (9/22/24)…Became the second Giants undrafted free agent to record at least 1.0 sack and 1 fumble recovery in a game (also Kerry Wynn at St. Louis on 12/21/2014).

NOTES TO KNOW

  • Chatman was the first undrafted rookie defensive player to start a season opener (vs. Minnesota, 9/8/24) for the Giants. He was the first undrafted free agent to start since fullback Shane Smith at Dallas on 9/10/17.

COLLEGE

  • In five seasons at SMU, Chatman played in 60 games, the 2nd-highest total in program history…Career totals include 148 tackles (98 solo), 34 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, 5 fumble recoveries and 1 forced fumble.
  • In 2023, named first-team All-AAC…Played in 14 games with 11 starts and recorded 33 tackles (23 solo), 9 stops for loss, and a career-high 4.5 sacks.
  • In 2022, selected second-team All-AAC…Played in 13 games with 11 starts…Registered 39 tackles (21 solo), including 5 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks.
  • In 2021, named second-team All-AAC…Played in 12 games with 11 starts and tallied career-high totals of 40 tackles, 25 solo stops, and 10 tackles for loss…Posted 2.5 sacks.

OFF-THE-FIELD ACTIVITY

  • Continued the annual rookie Thanksgiving tradition at Eva's Village to prepare and serve lunch for the community members of Eva's Village in Paterson, N.J.… After the team practice in Germany prior to the Sunday game, met with the 120 students that participated in the NFL Flag clinic… Met with members from the Wounded Warriors Project during their visit to the Quest Diagnostics Training Center to watch practice and enjoy a day with the Giants… Joined Project Kind, an organization to support those experiencing homelessness, to host an event with 125 people from the organization for a day of haircuts, spa treatments and lunch at MetLife stadium… Hosted the boys from the Far Rockaway and Harlem Giants that were graduating middle school for a day at the training facility filled with character building activities, lunch in the team cafeteria and different games in the field house… To celebrate Halloween, dressed in costume to visit patients and distribute giftbags at Hackensack University Medical Center's Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital.

PERSONAL

  • Played both offense and defense at Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, LA….In 2018, named LSWA Class 5A All-State Defensive Player of the Year, first-team all-state, and District 1-5A MVP... Registered 58 tackles and 9 sacks…Had 14 carries for 119 yards...Team finished 8-4 overall, 6-0 in district play, and advanced to the LHSAA Division I Semifinals.
