Neal started all 40 games in which he played at Alabama and missed only one game in 3 seasons – due to a positive COVID-19 test in 2020…Started 13 games at left guard in 2019, 12 at right tackle in 2020 and 15 at left tackle in 2021.
As a junior in 2021, Neal was selected first team All-America by the AFCA, FWAA, The Sporting News, CBS Sports, ESPN.com and USA Today and 2nd team by the AP…Named first team All-SEC…Elected one of Alabama's permanent team captains…Anchored an offensive line helped the Crimson Tide 6th in the country in scoring (39.9 points-per-game), 7th in passing (338.2 yards-per-game) and 3rd in 3rd-down conversion percentage…Played 1,200 snaps over 15 games…Earned offensive player of the week honors from the Alabama coaching staff after victories against Mercer, Ole Miss, Tennessee, New Mexico State, Arkansas and Cincinnati while the entire line earned received the honor after the SEC Championship Game vs. Georgia.
