The Giants got off to a strong start on Day 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft.
Experts praised the selections of Ohio State linebacker Arvell Reese at No. 5 and Miami offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa at No. 10, as the Giants were able to add building blocks on both sides of the ball.
Heading into Day 2 of the draft, the Giants have six picks remaining, including one on Friday.

With that being said, here are the predictions from NFL analysts for the Giants' second-round pick (No. 37).
Pick: Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee
Analysis: "McCoy ranked as my No. 10 overall prospect in the class based off film study, but questions surrounding the long-term health of his knee following an ACL injury in January 2025 caused him to slip. The Giants will jump on the opportunity to select a top-10 player at a core position of need."
Pick: Christen Miller, DT, Georgia
Analysis: "The Giants were able to turn Dexter Lawrence into Francis Mauigoa, who may be the team's new right guard after being selected at No. 10. And Miller could be the replacement for Lawrence on the D-line."
Pick: Denzel Boston, WR, Washington
Analysis: "The Giants nabbed a pass rusher with Arvell Reese at No. 5 and an offensive lineman with Francis Mauigoa at No. 10. They didn't, however, give QB Jaxson Dart a new target—until now. Boston is big and strong with tremendous ball skills, making him a strong complement to Malik Nabers."
Pick: Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee
Analysis: "McCoy is a top-10 overall prospect in this class if he has a clean bill of health, but that is obviously not the case. His fall is reminiscent of Will Johnson's last year, but he will be a high-impact performer even if only for a shorter period."
Pick: Christen Miller, DT, Georgia
Analysis: "The Giants, after going with Reese and Mauigoa, need to turn their attention to helping replace Dexter Lawrence at defensive tackle. Miller is a natural run stopper with massive pass-rush upside."
Pick: Christen Miller, DT, Georgia
Analysis: "Although Miller is more work-in-progress as a pass-rusher, his elite run defense (90.2 grade in 2025) is enough to make him compelling here."
Pick: Chris Brazzell II, WR, Tennessee
Analysis: "The Giants passed on a receiver with their two first-round picks but still need a No. 2 target across from Malik Nabers. Brazzell's combination of size (6-4, 198 pounds), burst off the line and production – he had 1,017 yards and nine touchdowns at Tennessee during the 2025 season – should make him a big-time contested catch weapon and red-zone threat at the NFL level."
Pick: Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo
Analysis: "New York's defense needs a playmaking safety like McNeil-Warren. He forced three fumbles this past season."
Pick: Kayden McDonald, DT, Ohio State
Pick: Avieon Terrell, CB, Clemson
Analysis: "The defensive tackles are there for the taking, but the corner value is just as good."
Pick: Skyler Bell, WR, UConn
Pick: Emmanuel McNeil-Warren, S, Toledo
Pick: Jermod McCoy, CB, Tennessee
