Andrew Thomas is active for "Sunday Night Football" against the Chiefs.
The Giants' standout left tackle has not played since he suffered a season-ending foot injury on Oct. 13, 2024. Thomas continued to do more in practice each week but was ultimately ruled out for the first two games of the season.
This week, Thomas practiced three days in a row for the first time in his rehab and was listed as questionable on the final injury report.
"If I'm speaking as a competitor, I wanted to be out there for Week 1," Thomas said Friday. "But the best thing for the team and for myself is for me to be 100 percent out there. I think I can help the team out when I'm at my best, so I'm trying to get back to that."
The following players will be inactive for the primetime matchup.

The Giants have been dealing with injuries at inside linebacker. After Micah McFadden suffered a foot injury in the season opener and was placed on injured reserve, his backup, Darius Muasau, left Week 2 with a concussion and eye injury. He was ruled out for the game. Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles then aggravated a calf injury and was doubtful heading into Sunday night.
Defensive lineman Rakeem Nuñez-Roches Sr. (foot) was also listed as doubtful. Defensive lineman Chauncey Golston (ankle) and wide receiver/returner Gunner Olszewski (back) were questionable.
The Giants made a series of roster moves on Saturday. They signed outside linebacker Tomon Fox to the active roster from the practice squad. They also activated defensive lineman Elijah Garcia (his third of three allowed elevations per NFL rules) and linebacker Neville Hewitt from the practice squad. The Giants also waived wide receiver/returner Xavier Gipson after claiming him off waivers from the Jets less than two weeks ago.
Hewitt, 6-2 and 234 pounds, joined the Giants' practice squad as a veteran exception on Tuesday. He has played in 146 games (48 starts) for the Dolphins (2015-2017), Jets (2018-2020) and Texans (2021-2024). Hewitt, who was a free agent, played in all 17 games for the Texans last season and made four starts. He has also appeared in five postseason games, including two in each of the last two seasons with Houston.
On the other side, the Chiefs had ruled out three players on their final injury report: wide receiver Xavier Worthy (shoulder), cornerback Kristian Fulton (ankle) and defensive end Michael Danna (quad). Wide receiver Jalen Royals (knee) was questionable.
Kansas City activated cornerback Kevin Knowles as a standard gameday elevation.
