1:30 p.m. -- Brian Daboll spoke with reporters via Zoom the day after a 40-37 overtime loss to the Cowboys. The Giants will host the Chiefs in their 2025 home opener on Sunday night. The head coach said rookie OL Marcus Mbow did "a lot of good things" in his first real performance. There are things to clean up for the fifth-round pick, but he's a young professional who has worked on his craft. Mbow entered the game at left tackle in place of James Hudson III on the second drive and played 51 snaps on offense (76.1 percent).
9:41 a.m. -- QB Russell Wilson was nominated for FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week. During Sunday's overtime thriller in Dallas, Wilson completed 30 of 41 pass attempts (73.2 percent) for 450 yards, three touchdowns, one interception and a quarterback rating of 123.0. The 450 passing yards are the second-most in his illustrious career and tied with Eli Manning for the fourth-highest total in franchise history.
