Brandon Brown to participate in NFL's Front Office & General Manager Accelerator Program

BRANDON-BROWN

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. - Dec 7, 2023 – Continuing the NFL's efforts to strengthen the pipeline of diverse candidates across all levels of the league, the NFL will host its Front Office & General Manager Accelerator Program from December 11-13 at the league meeting in Dallas, Texas.

The New York Giants are excited to announce that Assistant General Manager Brandon Brown is invited to participate in the Front Office & General Manager Accelerator.

This Accelerator is the fourth time the league has put on the event since it was launched in 2022 and follows the Coach Accelerator that was held May 2023 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

In a refresh to the selection process, Clubs were asked to nominate individuals internal and external to their organizations, which were then vetted by an NFL selection committee.

Forty-two highly qualified candidates of diverse backgrounds, across player personnel, football operations and assistant general manager disciplines were selected for the opportunity to build relationships with club owners and executives ahead of the hiring cycle.

In addition to networking, candidates will participate in a range of personal and professional development programming, including practice interviews led by former general managers and leadership sessions from outside experts. For the first time, personal development workshops, have been included to focus on candidates' overall wellness and mental preparedness when applying for roles.

Brown is in his second season as the Giants' Assistant General Manager. He is the top associate of General Manger Joe Schoen.

Brown, 35, was instrumental in the 2022 roster renovation that enabled the Giants to finish 9-7-1 and earned their first postseason berth in six years.

Prior to joining the Giants in 2022, Brown spent five seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He was promoted to the team's director of player personnel in 2021. In that role, Brown oversaw the Eagles' pro scouting department and did crossover work on the college scouting side.

Brown joined the Eagles in 2017 and was the assistant director of pro scouting in his first two seasons with the team. In 2019, he was promoted to the director of pro scouting, a position he also held for two years.

Before his tenure with the Eagles, Brown spent two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts as an advance scout (2016) and scouting assistant (2015).

He joined the Colts after spending two years at Boston College, first as a recruiting specialist (2013) and then as the assistant director of player personnel (2014).

In 2012, Brown was a pro personnel intern in the Jets' training camp.

A four-year letterman as a defensive back at Fordham University, Brown earned his bachelor's degree in business administration with a dual concentration in entrepreneurship and communications media management. In addition, Brown was a two-time all-Patriot League academic selection.

After graduating from Fordham in 2010, Brown earned a Juris Doctor degree from Barry University Law School in Orlando, Fla.

While pursuing his law degree at Barry, Brown worked as athletic compliance graduate assistant/football support at the University of Central Florida, where he was named lead articles editor of the Earth Jurisprudence and Environmental Justice Law Journal and was a member of the Black Law Student Association and Sports Law Society.

Brown is a native of Glen Cove, N.Y., on Long Island. He attended St. Anthony's High School in South Huntington, where he was a Sports Illustrated Northeast All-American in 2003 and was named to Prepstar Magazine's All-Region team and the NY Daily News' All-Suburban team.

"Brandon is an invaluable contributor to our overall football operations team," Schoen said. "He is a tireless worker and thorough evaluator. Brandon's strong leadership qualities and communication skills allow the respective departments in football operations to function efficiently and effectively."
