ESPN names four Giants to All-NFC East team

Four members of the New York Giants recently made ESPN's All-NFC East team for their performances in the 2013 regular season.

After finishing eighth in the NFL in yards allowed, it's no surprise all four play on defense.

As voted on by ESPN's four reporters who cover the division teams, the four Giants were defensive end Justin Tuck, defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins, and safeties Antrel Rolle and Will Hill, tying the division champion Philadelphia Eagles for most on the defensive side of the ball.

However, the Eagles notched the most overall with 11, followed by the Cowboys (8), Giants (4), and Redskins (3), coinciding with their respective places in the final division standings.

Below is a look at the Giants' representatives on ESPN's All-NFC East team:

DE Justin Tuck

Tackles: 63
Sacks: 11.0
Forced Fumbles: 2
Interceptions: 1

"I approve of the choice of Tuck, who had a fine year and finished with 11 sacks thanks to the six he got in December against the Redskins." – Dan Graziano

DT Cullen Jenkins

Tackles: 31
Sacks: 5.0
Forced Fumbles: 2
Interceptions: 0

"The Giants were very strong at defensive tackle this year, and Jenkins is a worthy pick. I think Linval Joseph is the better and more impactful all-around player at the position, but Jenkins played well all year against the run and helped with the pass rush." – Dan Graziano

S Antrel Rolle

Tackles:98
Sacks: 2.0
Forced Fumbles: 2
Interceptions: 6

S Will Hill

Tackles: 77
Sacks: 0.0
Forced Fumbles: 2
Interceptions: 2

"Rolle gets (and attracts) the attention and played well, but I think Hill was the better player this year once he was back from his season-opening four-game suspension. The two of them function very well together in the Giants' system at safety, and that was a concern after they let go of Kenny Phillips -- finding a partner who could switch off with Rolle during the games and depending on the situations. Hill has done it and done it well." – Dan Graziano
