East Rutherford, NJ – The New York Giants have selected Coach Terrell Huff of Windsor High School in Windsor, CT as the High School Flag Football Coach of the Week for week 8 of the 2025 season.
The High School Flag Football Coach of the Week Award is part of the Giants' continuing effort to support local high school flag football programs. Each week during the high school girls flag football season, the Giants will select one area high school head coach as the Coach of the Week winner. The selection is based on the coach's continuing commitment towards promoting youth football, developing motivated student-athletes and contributing overall to their community.
In recognition of Coach Huff's selection as Coach of the Week, a $2,000 check from The Giants Foundation will be given to the Windsor High School girls flag football program. Coach Huff will also receive a certificate of recognition signed by Giants head coach Brian Daboll and will be honored at a recognition ceremony after the season and at a 2025 Giants preseason home game.
Coach Huff led the Windsor Warriors to their first ever Central Connecticut Conference title with an 18-0 victory over Southington High School. During the 2025 season the Warriors outscored their opponents 169- 36 and had shut outs in four separate games. Windsor High School was among one of the first high schools to create the Central Connecticut Conference high school girls flag football league and serves as host for numerous events throughout the season. The Warriors will now have the chance to compete in the first-ever CIAC state tournament on June 7th which will take place at Windsor High School.
In addition to Huff serving as the head flag football coach in the spring, Huff is also an assistant coach for the high school tackle team in the fall and runs his own health and wellness center. Huff is a graduate of Windsor High School where he played football and went on to play linebacker Central Connecticut State University where he received his bachelor's degree and Assumption University where he received his MBA. Huff has grown up giving back to the Windsor community and is now impacting the next generation through the game of tackle and flag football while providing an environment for student-athletes to excel in all aspects of life.
"Coach Huff is a young, energetic coach whose strong presence and passionate spirit has inspired our young ladies on and off the field," said Chris Fulton, Athletic Director for Windsor High School.
