Darkwa, a three-year veteran, has been plagued by lower leg soreness. He has appeared only on special teams in the last four games after not playing at all against Baltimore on Oct. 16.

His season totals include 30 carries for 111 yards (a 3.7-yard average) and two touchdowns – on a 2-yard run vs. Washington on Sept. 25, and a 1-yarder the following week against the Vikings. Darkwa also caught two passes 12 yards.

Signed off the Miami Dolphins' practice squad on Nov. 12, 2014, Darkwa has played in 33 games for the Giants. He has 70 rushing attempts for 285 yards and four touchdowns, and 10 catches for 91 yards.

Pinkins was signed to the Giants' practice squad on Oct. 12. He entered the NFL in 2014 as a sixth-round draft choice of the Seattle Seahawks, from San Diego State. Pinkins missed his entre rookie season with a foot injury before playing in six games for Seattle last year. The Seahawks waived him on Sept. 10 this year.
