The franchise has never used the 23rd selection in the first round, but the Giants have drafted 23rd overall when there were not as many teams in the league as there are today. They have done so five times, most recently taking offensive lineman Frank Youso in the second round in 1958.

In the entire history of the draft, there have been three Pro Football Hall of Famers taken 23rd overall: tight end Ozzie Newsome (1978, Browns), punter Ray Guy (1973, Raiders) and linebacker Bill George (1951, Bears).

Below is a look at the current draft order as eight teams remain alive in the postseason.

The 82nd NFL Draft will be held April 27-29 in Philadelphia with Round 1 on Thursday, Rounds 2-3 on Friday, and Rounds 4-7 on Saturday.
