PLAYERS-TO-WATCH-WASHINGTON-GRAPHIC

As they say, it's not about the Xs and Os. It's the Jimmys and Joes.

Here are the players to watch on Thursday Night Football between the New York Giants and Washington Football Team:

RB Saquon Barkley

The schedule didn't do any favors for Barkley, who will play two games in five days after not playing in one for nearly a year. Barkley has totaled 587 scrimmage yards (195.7 per game) in three career games against Washington, including a franchise-record 279 scrimmage yards (career-best 189 rushing yards) and two touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving) in his last game against Washington on Dec. 22, 2019. In his only career game on Thursday Night Football (Oct. 11, 2018 vs. Philadelphia), Barkley registered 229 scrimmage yards and one rushing touchdown.

QB Daniel Jones

Jones is 4-0 as a starter against the Washington Football Team, including 2-0 at FedExField. In his four starts against them, Jones has completed 68.3 percent of his passes with a rating of 100.0. He posted career highs in touchdowns (five), yards (352), and passer rating (132.1) in the team's 2019 trip to Washington.

DB Logan Ryan

Last week, Ryan led the Giants with 10 tackles and recorded both a forced fumble and fumble recovery. In three career games against Washington, he has totaled five passes defensed, two interceptions, one forced fumble, and one sack.

OT Andrew Thomas

Last year's fourth overall pick will see plenty of Washington defensive end Chase Young, the second overall pick in 2020. Young recorded 7.5 sacks, 12 quarterback hits, 10 tackles for loss, four forced fumbles, and three fumble recoveries en route to being named the 2020 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.

WR Sterling Shepard

As the Giants get their weapons up to speed, Shepard has been a constant for the team. He led the Giants with 113 receiving yards last week for his 10th career 100-yard performance. The longest-tenured active Giants player has recorded a touchdown catch in two of his past three games at Washington.
