Wide receiver Sterling Shepard has been designated for return and is practicing today. The fifth-year pro hasn't played since suffering a turf toe in Chicago on Sept. 27. The Giants have 21 days to add Shepard to their active roster. If he is not added to the roster during the 21-day period, he must remain on injured reserve for the remainder of the season.
