- Joined the Paterson Wildcats youth tackle and girls flag football teams for a clinic in the Quest Diagnostic Training Center and surprised the team with a $10,000 equipment grant thanks to Dunkin'… Joined Project Kind, an organization to support those experiencing homelessness, to host an event with 125 people from the organization for a day of haircuts, spa treatments and lunch at MetLife stadium… Hosted the boys from the Far Rockaway and Harlem Giants that were graduating middle school for a day at the training facility filled with character building activities, lunch in the team cafeteria and different games in the field house… To celebrate Halloween, dressed in costume to visit patients and distribute giftbags at Hackensack University Medical Center's Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital… After the team practice in Germany prior to the Sunday game, met with the 120 students that participated in the NFL Flag clinic… Met with members from the Wounded Warriors Project during their visit to the Quest Diagnostics Training Center to watch practice and enjoy a day with the Giants.
PERSONAL
- Son of Rodney and Sherese Nubin…Both of his parents were athletes at Eastern Michigan: his father played running back and cornerback (1993-97); his mother was a sprinter on the track team…Tyler's younger brother (Jordan) also played prep ball at St. Charles North and was a preferred walk-on at Minnesota as a defensive back. Because of depth issues, Jordan moved to running back…Earned a bachelor's degree in business, management, marketing and related support services.
- Attended St. Charles (Ill.) North High School…Selected all-state as a senior, when recorded 51 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, and broke up 6 passes while leading team to its first ever state final appearance …On offense, caught 42 passes for 549 yards and 9 touchdowns, ran for 600 yards and 12 touchdowns on 109 carries from the quarterback position, and threw a 23-yard touchdown pass…Named the 2018 Courier-News Football Player of the Year.
