EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – A nationally-televised home game against Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts will highlight the Giants' four-game preseason schedule.

The Giants today announced the opponents for their 2013 preseason games. They will play four AFC opponents for the first time since 2010. The Giants will host the Colts and Jets and travel to Pittsburgh and New England.

The Giants will not play any of their preseason opponents in the regular season.

The dates and times for most preseason games will be announced in the future.

The Giants will face the Steelers in Heinz Field in Preseason Week 1 (Aug. 8-11). It will be the Giants' first preseason game in Pittsburgh since 1992. The teams last met in the preseason in MetLife Stadium on Aug. 21, 2010, a 24-17 Steelers victory.

The Giants lead the preseason series, 13-12. The teams first met in a preseason game on Aug. 22, 1952 – a 24-10 Giants victory in Des Moines, Iowa. The Giants and Steelers played each other every summer from 1978-89. They did not meet in the preseason from 1993-2009.

Last Nov. 4, the Steelers defeated the Giants, 24-20, in a regular-season game in MetLife Stadium.

The Giants are 34-26-3 in preseason openers since 1950.

The Giants will host the Colts on Sunday, Aug. 18 at 8 p.m. in a game that will be televised by FOX. It will be the teams' first preseason meeting since the Giants defeated the Colts in Indianapolis, 26-20, on Aug. 11, 1984 – the year the Colts moved from Baltimore. The Colts are quarterbacked by Luck, the first overall choice in the 2012 NFL Draft.

The Giants lead the preseason series, 6-5.

In Preseason Week 3 (Aug. 22-25), The Giants and Jets will square off for the 45th consecutive summer since the series began in 1969. The Giants won their 2012 meeting, 26-3, a game highlighted by Jayron Hosley's interception of a Mark Sanchez pass and 77-yard return for a touchdown. The Giants trail in the preseason series, 23-20-1, with the tie coming in 1972.

The Giants will travel to New England in Preseason Week 4 (Aug. 29-30), a game traditionally played on Thursday night. This will be the ninth consecutive year the two teams have closed the preseason by facing one another. The Giants won last year, 6-3, and lead the preseason series, 14-8. The two teams first met in the preseason in 1971.

The Giants were 2-2 in the preseason in 2012, beating the Jets and Patriots and losing to the Jacksonville Jaguars and Chicago Bears. They are 18-18 in the preseason in Tom Coughlin's nine years as head coach.
