CBS Sports names Malik Nabers, Dexter Lawrence among NFL's most entertaining players

CBS Sports recently took a swing at naming the NFL's most entertaining players.

As writer Cody Benjamin put it, "We present an NFL lineup consisting not only of distinct on-field magic but equally dynamic personality. These guys aren't just good at football. They're elite at producing a good time. They excel at entertaining, turning even the most mundane Sundays into a spectacle."

Benjamin titled it the 2025 All-Fun Team, and the Giants' two biggest stars both found themselves featured on the list, starting with wide receiver Malik Nabers.

"Another product of the LSU factory, Nabers is just one year into his career, but he transcended the Giants' perpetual woes as a rookie with acrobatic sideline grabs, confirming himself as one of the most gifted young playmakers in the game," the article states. "Can you imagine putting he, (Ja'Marr) Chase and (Justin) Jefferson on the same NFL field? Talk about the world's largest fireworks display."

We have rehashed Nabers' accomplishments as a rookie countless times, but in case you need a reminder, he was special.

The young wideout set a new franchise record with his 109 receptions, which resulted in 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns. Meanwhile, he finished with the fifth-most receptions in the league, despite missing two games, while his 80.3 receiving yards per game ranked sixth overall.

Nabers registered 14 games with five or more catches, another all-time rookie record, while also leading all rookies in yards after contact (256), first downs (55) and missed tackles forced (19), according to Pro Football Focus. His success led to him being named to the Pro Bowl, in addition to making the PFWA All-Rookie Team.

The other wide receivers joining Nabers on the list are Cincinnati's Ja'Marr Chase and Minnesota's Justin Jefferson.

The second Giant to make CBS Sports' All-Fun Team is none other than star defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence.

"Sorry, but you don't earn the name 'Sexy Dexy' as a 340-pound defensive lineman without some genuine pizzaz," wrote Benjamin. "Despite his monumental frame, Lawrence plays like a quick mover at the heart of the Giants' ascending front, clogging up lanes and downing opposing quarterbacks with exuberance. He's the kind of guy who will crush you in the pocket, then lift your spirits after the fact."

Lawrence registered a career-high nine sacks across his first 12 games before suffering a season-ending injury. He added 16 quarterback hits, eight tackles for loss, one forced fumble and one pass defensed to his final stats, as well.

Lawrence was selected to the Pro Bowl for the third straight season, and while the injury likely caused him to miss out on a third consecutive AP All-Pro nod, he was voted by his peers to the NFL Players Association All-Pro team at nose tackle for the third straight year.

Joining Lawrence on the interior defensive line of the All-Fun Team is Kansas City's Chris Jones.
