The pads were on. The heat was up. Let's get right into what you need to know from practice No. 6 at training camp.

TOUCHDOWNS

The Giants opened with 1-on-1 drills as rookie Jaxson Dart threw two touchdowns of 40 yards apiece to wide receiver Montrell Washington. There was a high degree of difficulty on both throws and catches.

"I don't want to play like a robot," Dart, the 25th overall draft pick, said recently. "I think that's just my play style. When I'm on the field, I'm going to be aggressive in any situation. A statement that, I guess a quote that we go by in the quarterback room is being aggressive but not reckless. And so, when you have opportunities to put the dagger in, that's what you got to do.

"And at the same time, you can't be reckless and it's just situational based as an offense. You look at the turnover margins and the turnover ratio of the most successful teams in the league to the least successful team, and that's probably the number one thing that goes into it. So, you have to keep those things in mind, but at the same time you got to be a dog on the field and make those plays when they're there."

Moving to team drills, Russell Wilson kicked things off with a red-zone touchdown pass to Daniel Bellinger. It was a nice play design as the veteran quarterback rolled to the right and hit the wide-open tight end for the score.

Running backs Devin Singletary and Dante Miller both found the end zone on the ground.

Dart threw to Lil'Jordan Humphrey at the front right pylon and the wide receiver spun and stretched out for the touchdown.

Tommy DeVito connected with undrafted rookie wide receiver Dalen Cambre in the end zone for what appeared to be a touchdown. Rookie cornerback TJ Moore punched the ball out at the end of the play, which likely would have gone to a replay review.

Darius Slayton capped practice with a tough touchdown catch on a pass from Wilson, who backpedaled to buy time for the receiver to get some daylight.

TAKEAWAYS

The offense was clean in the turnover department today.

TOP PLAYS

While they didn't steal anything for the turnover chest, there were plenty of standout defensive plays. That started with a run stuff by veteran linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles, who signed with the team this offseason. Rookie outside linebacker Abdul Carter was also closing in on the play, and later, the third overall pick notched a would-be sack of Wilson. Carter also got close to stripping the quarterback on another play.

Defensive lineman Elijah Garcia bottled up a run play.

Darius Muasau prevented what looked to be a touchdown from Jameis Winston to tight end Theo Johnson, but the linebacker got his hand up just in time to break it up. Fellow linebacker Bobby Okereke also broke up a pass.

Cornerback Deonte Banks forced an incompletion on a pass from Winston to tight end Greg Dulcich in the front left corner of the end zone. Rookie cornerback Korie Black, a seventh-round pick, made a similar play just before that.
