The New York Giants signed tight end Isaiah Likely at the start of free agency.

Here are five things to know about the team's new tight end.

1. After being drafted in the fourth round (No. 141 overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft, Likely spent his first four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. In 63 career games (26 starts), the 6-foot-4, 245-pound tight end has registered 135 receptions for 1,568 yards and 15 touchdowns. He has added 11 receptions for 176 yards and an additional two touchdowns in five postseason games.

2. Likely's best season came in 2024 when he played in 16 games with nine starts and picked up career-highs in receptions (42), receiving yards (477) and receiving touchdowns (six). Four of his six touchdowns came in games in which he started.

3. The best single-game performance of his young career came in the 2024 season opener when he caught nine passes for 111 yards, both career-highs, and a score against the Chiefs. This marked Likely's third consecutive game with a touchdown of 25+ yards, going back to the final two games of the 2023 season, which tied Green Bay's Robert Tunyan for the longest streak by an NFL tight end since at least 2000.

4. Prior to being drafted, Likely spent four years at Coastal Carolina where he was a three-year starter. He registered 133 receptions for 2,050 yards and 27 touchdowns and earned All-Sun Belt honors in his final three seasons, including first-team all-conference in his final two.

His best season came as a senior in 2021 when he started all 13 games and finished second among FBS tight ends in receiving yards (912) and touchdowns (12), which came on 59 receptions. In addition to earning first-team All-Sun Belt honors, Likely was also named second-team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America.

As a junior in 2020, Likely led all FBS tight ends with a 20.0 yards per catch average.

5. Likely began his high school career at Malden High School in Massachusetts, where he played running back as a freshman and safety as a sophomore. He then transferred to Everett High School in Massachusetts, where he became a starting wide receiver. As a junior, he posted 59 receptions for 917 yards and 11 touchdowns while leading the team to a Division I State Championship.

As a senior in 2017, Likely earned All-State honors at wide receiver after catching 10 touchdowns and leading the team to a 12-0 record and the 2017 Division I State Championship.

In addition to playing football, Likely also lettered in basketball.
