Evan Neal didn't miss a single snap in his NFL debut last weekend in Nashville. As he prepares for his inaugural home opener – which coincides with the weekend he celebrates his birthday – Neal joined the Giants Huddle podcast to unveil his expectations.

Neal reflected on his adjustment to the league, sharing that he used the offseason to focus on getting "bigger, faster, (and) stronger." Though he played at three different spots on the offensive line throughout college, Neal is capitalizing on the opportunity at hand. Offensive Line Coach Bobby Johnson's "straight up" style is something Evan admitted he appreciates. "It's a great opportunity for me to stick at right tackle and hone my skills at right tackle," he shared.

Evan revealed that his upbringing has factored into his development significantly. His father instilled the importance of hard work in him, and his time at IMG Academy afforded him the studious demeanor his coaches praise. Neal's values translate to they way he carries himself on the field, too. He was candid when asked about facing opposing defenses: "I want to talk with my shoulder pads. It takes too much energy to talk."

Evan was eager about Sunday's matchup in MetLife as well. He detailed his outlook on Panthers pass rushers and shared how offensive line veterans like Andrew Thomas and Mark Glowinski have helped with his preparation since his arrival. "I'm excited to go out there and play our hearts out for the fans," Neal concluded.
