EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. –** The Giants today announced the addition of five players to their roster, including four with NFL regular-season experience – tight end Daniel Fells, wide receiver Preston Parker, linebacker Spencer Adkins, offensive lineman Troy Kropog and kicker/punter Brandon McManus. Only McManus has not previously played in the NFL.

The University of California, Davis product entered the NFL on May 1, 2006 as a rookie free agent with the Atlanta Falcons. He did not play in a game that season and was waived on Sept. 1, 2007. Three days later, Fells was signed to the Oakland Raiders practice squad, where he spent the entire season.
On Jan. 1, 2008, Fells signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who waived him on Aug. 31 and placed him on their practice squad the following day. He was signed to the St. Louis Rams' active roster on Oct. 6, 2008.
Fells made his NFL debut with the Rams, playing in 12 games with one start and catching seven passes for 81 yards. In 2009, he played in 14 games with four starts and had 21 receptions for 273 yards and three touchdowns. The following season, Fells played in all 16 games with six starts and had career-high totals of 41 receptions for 391 yards. He also scored two touchdowns.
Fells joined the Denver Broncos as a free agent on July 31, 2011. He played in all 16 regular-season games with 15 starts and had 19 receptions for 256 yards and three touchdowns. Fells also started both of the Broncos' postseason games and had a 40-yarder among his two catches.
On March 20, 2012, Fells signed with the New England Patriots. That season, he played in 13 games with four starts and had four receptions for 85 yards. He also played in one postseason game.
Parker, 5-11 and 197 pounds, played in 27 games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2010-12. He has 44 career receptions for 596 yards (13.5-yard average) with a long of 51 yards and three touchdowns. Parker also returned 30 kickoffs for a 20.6-yard average with a long of 45 yards and 23 punts for a 9.1-yard average with a long of 34 yards. He also had three rushing attempts for 11 yards (including a seven-yarder vs. the Giants on Sept. 16, 2012) and 10 special teams tackles.
The Bucs signed Parker as a rookie free agent from North Alabama on April 30, 2012. Parker was waived on Sept. 20, 2012. He signed a reserve/future contract with the New Orleans Saints on Jan. 3, 2013 and was waived on Aug. 31.
Adkins, 5-11 and 222 pounds, was a sixth-round draft choice by the Atlanta Falcons in 2009, the 176th overall selection. From 2009-11, he played in 24 regular-season games with one start and was credited with five tackles (three solo) on defense and 10 on special teams. He played in the 2011 NFC Wild Card Game vs. the Giants and had four tackles (three solo).
Adkins was waived by the Falcons on Aug. 21, 2012. He was signed by the Baltimore Ravens on Jan. 3, 2013 and waived on Aug. 26, 2013.
Kropog, 6-5 and 311 pounds, was a fourth-round draft choice, the 135th pick overall, by the Tennessee Titans in 2009. In four seasons with the Titans he played exclusively on special teams in seven games (he did not appear in a game in 2011).
Kropog was waived by the Titans on Sept. 15, 2012. He was signed to the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad three days later and to their active roster on Dec. 7, though he did not play in a game. Kropog was waived on Sept. 1, 2013 and joined the Washington Redskins' practice squad on Sept. 24 though the end of the season.
McManus, 6-4 and 236 pounds, was signed as a rookie free agent on April 30, 2013 by the Indianapolis Colts who waived him on Aug. 26.
At Temple University, McManus set the school records for points scored (338), field goals made (60) and attempted (83) and punting average (45.4). He was the recipient of the 2012 College Football Performance Awards Specialist Trophy as the nation's best kicker.
