3 Giants make PFF Team of the Week

The Giants put together one of their best offensive performances in years against the Cowboys on Sunday.

The 509 total yards of offense was the franchise's highest single-game total since 2019, while the unit's eight plays of 20+ yards was the most by a Giants team since the 2023 campaign.

Several Giants were honored by Pro Football Focus for their outings against the Cowboys in Week 2, including quarterback Russell Wilson and wide receiver Malik Nabers, who were both named to the PFF Team of the Week.

It was a vintage showing from Wilson, who completed just over 73 percent of his passes (30 of 41) for 450 yards, three touchdowns and one interception, which earned him a passer rating of 123.0. The veteran quarterback also added 23 yards on three carries.

The 450 passing yards were the second-most of Wilson's illustrious career and tied with Eli Manning for the fourth-highest total in franchise history.

Wilson became just the second Giants quarterback ever to complete over 73 percent of his passes on 40+ attempts. He was also the first quarterback since Joe Burrow in 2022 to throw for 450+ yards, 3+ touchdowns and complete over 73 percent of his passes.

The biggest beneficiary of Wilson's success in the air was of course Nabers.

The second-year wideout caught nine passes for a whopping 167 yards and two touchdowns. This marked the fourth 100-yard receiving game and the third multi-touchdown game of his young career.

Nabers' nine catches gives him 123 receptions through the first 17 games of his career, which breaks Odell Beckham Jr.'s previous NFL record of 122 receptions through 17 games. The 22-year-old also has five or more receptions in 11 consecutive games, the second-lost streak in franchise history trailing only Beckham's streak of 15 games.

Nabers and wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson (142 receiving yards) became just the fourth Giants duo ever to register 140+ receiving yards in the same game and the first since Beckham and Sterling Shepard in 2018.

Additionally, running back Cam Skattebo was named to PFF's Rookie Team of the Week after his strong showing in Dallas.

"After a limited role in his debut where he only saw just eight offensive snaps, Skattebo's contributions expanded significantly in the Giants' overtime loss to the Cowboys, playing 35 snaps," wrote PFF's Jim Wyman.

Not only did he lead the backfield in snaps, but Skattebo also led in touches and yards. Skattebo carried the ball 11 times for 45 yards, good for an average of 4.1 yards per carry, and scored the first touchdown of his NFL career. He averaged 3.18 yards after contact per attempt, according to Pro Football Focus, while forcing three missed tackles.

The rookie running back also added two receptions for an additional 14 yards.
