Saturday, Oct. 4

4:30 p.m. -- The New York Giants made the following roster moves Saturday ahead of the team's Week 5 matchup against the New Orleans Saints.

Activated, from Practice Squad (Standard Elevation)

  • K Jude McAtamney
  • LB Neville Hewitt

12:05 p.m. -- The Giants downgraded LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (hamstring) to out for Week 5. Flannigan-Fowles, who was limited at Friday's practice and originally listed as questionable, did not travel with the team to New Orleans.

Friday, Oct. 3

2:22 p.m. -- The Giants released their final injury report of the week. No one was ruled out, but RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. (shoulder) is doubtful. LB Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (hamstring), DL Dexter Lawrence (illness) and S Tyler Nubin (groin) are questionable.

2:16 p.m. -- LT Andrew Thomas had a "good week of practice" after playing all 76 offensive snaps in the win over the Chargers. As part of his rehab plan, he was limited to 28 snaps the week before when he played in his first game in more than 11 months. "Normal soreness," Thomas said. "If anything, my lungs are more tired than anything. It was a good game. We got the win, so I'll just keep building on that."

2:12 p.m. -- The Saints ruled out four players: C/G Cesar Ruiz (ankle), DE Chase Young (calf), WR Trey Palmer (ankle) and CB Isaac Yiadom (hamstring). TE Juwan Johnson (ankle), T/G Trevor Penning (ankle), OL Dillon Radunz (toe), QB Taysom Hill (knee), TE Foster Moreau (knee) and DT John Ridgeway II (shoulder) are questionable.

11:30 a.m. -- Brian Daboll said DL Dexter Lawrence is still sick. He is "kind of getting over it right now" but won't practice today. Everybody else will participate in some capacity, including RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. (shoulder), who is doing "a lot better." They will see about his status for Sunday.

11:30 a.m. -- Four players who won championships with the Giants were among the 52 players to advance Thursday in the "Seniors" category for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2026. Quarterback Charlie Conerly, linebacker Carl Banks, running back Ottis Anderson and defensive back Everson Walls made the next round after appearing on the initial list of 162 nominees. Conerly (No. 13), Banks (17) and Anderson (No. 51) were all ranked in the Giants’ Top 100 Players last year to celebrate the 100th season. Walls is known for his days with Dallas, where he remains second in franchise history in interceptions, but won his only Super Bowl with the Giants in 1990. He had 11 interceptions in just 36 games as a Giant (in addition to one in three postseason games).

Tuesday, Sept. 30

9:30 a.m. -- QB Jaxson Dart was nominated for Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week. This is the third consecutive week that a Giants rookie has been nominated for the honor. RB Cam Skattebo, a fourth-round draft choice who is now fifth among all NFL rookies in yards from scrimmage, was up for it in Weeks 2 and 3. Dart completed 13 of 20 passes for 111 pass yards on Sunday at MetLife Stadium, including a three-yard shovel pass to tight end Theo Johnson for his first career passing touchdown. He opened the game with a 15-yard rushing touchdown as part of 10 carries for 54 yards. The Giants never trailed after that.

Dart became the first quarterback since Patrick Mahomes to lead a touchdown drive of at least 80 yards on the first possession of his first career start. He is also the first rookie quarterback to beat a team 3-0 or better in his first career start since Phil Simms in 1979 against the 5-0 Buccaneers (excluding strike seasons). Overall, the Giants became the first 0-3 team to beat a 3-0 team since 2008. They also defeated the Chargers for the first time since 1998. The Giants boasted multiple rookies (Dart and Skattebo) with at least 50 rushing yards in a game for first time since 1980 (Larry Heater and Leon Perry). Skattebo led the way Sunday with 79 yards on 25 carries.

Fans can vote for Dart at nfl.com/rookies and on the NFL Mobile app through Thursday at 11 a.m. ET to determine who will bring home the Rookie of the Week championship belt for Week 4. The winner will be announced Thursday on NFL.com.

Monday, Sept. 29

5:47 p.m. -- The Giants officially placed WR Malik Nabers on injured reserve and waived OLB Tomon Fox.

2:05 p.m. -- Giants President & CEO John Mara released the following statement: "I have recently been diagnosed with cancer and have been following the treatment plan recommended by an outstanding team of doctors. I'm feeling strong and optimistic, and I'm committed to seeing this through to a positive outcome. I plan to remain active with the team throughout my treatment, and I'm fortunate to be surrounded by incredible support—personally, professionally, and medically. I ask that you respect my privacy and my family's privacy at this time."

1:30 p.m. -- Coach Brian Daboll confirmed WR Malik Nabers will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL. Nabers suffered the knee injury with 6:12 left in the second quarter of Sunday's 21-18 victory over the Chargers. The second-year pro was attempting to catch a deep pass from QB Jaxson Dart on a free play due to a defensive offside penalty. Nabers had two catches for 20 yards on three targets to that point in the game. In four games this season, Nabers totaled 18 receptions for 271 yards, including 167 and two touchdowns against the Cowboys in Week 2. Nabers made the Pro Bowl as a rookie in 2024 after breaking the franchise's single-season reception record. Now the Giants will look to fill the void left by Nabers, whose 10.8 targets per game leads the league since the start of 2024.

"We'll have a tremendous amount of support for him and his family," Daboll said. "That's obviously a tough loss for our football team, but we'll regroup, and we'll get the guys ready to play that are here and be as good as we can be. On the perimeter, I know those guys will do everything they can do to be as good as we can be. But certainly, when you lose one of your better players, that's a big loss."
