QB Eli Manning
As mentioned in the practice notes, Manning made maybe his best throw of spring with his perfectly placed pass to Rueben Randle. Otherwise, Manning led a productive day for the offense, saying afterwards that the tempo was good.

That's a positive sign for new offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo's system. "It's night and day," Manning said of his comfort level with the new offense from the beginning of offseason workouts until now.

S Antrel Rolle
Opening minicamp without Jon Beason didn't deter the defense from having an energetic first practice. That's when the unit looked to its leader, safety Antrel Rolle, to set the tone. Whether it was Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie or Quintin Demps breaking up passes, the secondary had its share of moments today.

That was all before Rolle capped the day with a practice-ending interception during the final two-minute drill.

LB Devon Kennard
After being drafted a little more than a month ago, Kennard has quickly established himself, especially for a fifth-rounder. The rookie out of USC was bumped up to second-team middle linebacker following Beason's injury. Kennard also took some reps today on the outside with the first unit.

"They gave me the opportunity," he said. "And I'm taking advantage of it."
