In 2023, his 16.2 yards-per-reception led the team, ranked 4th among all rookies (min. 10 catches), and were the most by a Giants rookie since Hakeem Nicks averaged 16.8 yards in 2009… Had 3 receptions of 40-plus yards, which was tied for the 3^rd-most among rookies…It was also the most by a Giants rookie since Darius Slayton had 3 in 2019.
Recorded his first career catch on a 58-yard pass at Arizona (9/17/23)…The 58-yarder was the longest reception by a Giants rookie since running back Paul Perkins had a 67-yard reception at Minnesota on 10/3/16.

Played in 35 games with 14 starts in three seasons at Tennessee…Tallied 108 receptions for 1,769 yards (16.4-yard avg.) and 19 touchdowns, the latter figure tying him with Peerless Price for 4th in program history...Of his 108 catches, 52 went for 10+ yards, 30 for 20+ yards, 21 for 30+ yards and 12 for 40+ yards…Hyatt was the first player in program history to win the Biletnikoff Award, presented annually to the most outstanding receiver in the FBS…Holds Tennessee records for single-game touchdown receptions (5 vs. Alabama on 10/15/22), single-game points scored (30 vs. Alabama on 10/15/22) and single-season receiving touchdowns (15 in 2022).

Unanimous first-team All-SEC selection…Led the nation in 40+ yard receptions (11), 50+ yard catches (7) and 60+ yard catches (5)…His 11 40+ yard catches were better than 8 SEC teams' season total…Had multiple receiving touchdowns in each of 4 consecutive games from Oct. 8-29 to become the first Vol to accomplish that feat.
Produced the greatest single-game receiving performance in school history in a victory vs. No. 3 Alabama on Oct. 15, with 6 receptions for 207 yards and a school-record 5 touchdowns...Registered the longest catch of his career, a 78-yard catch-and-run, and also had scoring receptions of 36, 11, 60 and 13 yards...His 5 touchdown catches surpassed the previous program mark of 3 by 12 different Vols.
As a sophomore in 2021, played in all 13 games with one start…Caught 21 passes for 226 yards and 2 scores…In 2020, was one of the SEC's best freshman wide receivers…Played in all 10 games with one start...Ranked 2nd on the team with 20 receptions for 276 yards and 2 touchdowns…Among SEC true freshmen, ranked 6th in receiving yards, 3rd in receiving touchdowns and 3rd in yards-per-catch (13.8).

OFF-THE-FIELD ACTIVITY

Participated in drills with more than 700 girls from 29 high schools at the Section 1 Girl's Flag Football Jamboree Kickoff at Somers (N.Y.) High School to help kick off the 2024 season… Surprised the Jackie Robinson Bears Youth Football Program with a $10,000 equipment grant at training camp… Represented Boys and Girls Club during Week 13 of the NFL season for My Cause My Cleats… After the team practice in Germany prior to the Sunday game, met with the 120 students that participated in the NFL Flag clinic… Met with members from the Wounded Warriors Project during their visit to the Quest Diagnostics Training Center to watch practice and enjoy a day with the Giants.

PERSONAL

Recreation and sport management major…Grew up in Irmo, just outside Columbia, S.C., and started playing flag football at age 5 at the YMCA…Played basketball and youth football (wide receiver and quarterback) throughout middle school.
Finished his three-year varsity career at Dutch Fork with 180 catches for 3,624 yards and 57 touchdowns.
As a junior, had 71 receptions for 1,316 yards and 21 touchdowns and earned 2nd-team all-state honors for a team that went 13-0 and a state championship.
As a senior, led the team to another title (the program's fourth in a row) and scored 3 touchdowns, including the game-winner in overtime, in the championship game…With 66 catches for 1,361 yards and 26 touchdowns, named first-team all-state and was a finalist for South Carolina's Mr. Football…Member of the 2019 SCFCA Class 5A All-State Team and 2018 All-USA South Carolina second-team selection.
Hyatt also participated in strength competitions in high school and was an All-American in track (sprints and relays) as a junior, setting personal bests in the 100 meters (10.46) and 200 meters (21.14)…His father (Jamie) was a professional cyclist and his mother (Enevelyn) was an all-state sprinter in high school… Recipient of the Dr. Eric W. Barton Football Scholarship and the Michael & Christy Coffey Athletic Scholarship Endowment.
