EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Giants have prolonged the relationship with one of their most reliable players.

Kicker Graham Gano today signed a three-year contract extension that will begin in the 2024 season.

Gano, 36, is entering his 14th NFL season and fourth with the Giants.

He has been one of the NFL's finest kickers since joining the Giants in 2020. In his first three years with the team, Gano made 89 of 97 field goal attempts (91.8%), including 20 of 25 (80.0%) from 50+ yards, with a long of 57 yards. His 91.8% success rate is the highest in Giants history among kickers with at least 50 attempts. The previous mark of 91.7% was established by Josh Brown from 2013-16.

Gano has the franchise's second and sixth-highest single-season field goal percentages with 96.9 (31 of 32) in 2020 and 90.6 (29 of 32) in 2022.

His 20 field goals of 50 or more yards are more than twice as many as any other kicker in Giants history. Joe Danelo is second with nine. Gano holds the Giants' three highest single-season long field goal totals with eight in 2022, seven in 2021 and five in 2020.

From Sept. 20, 2020 to Oct. 3, 2021, Gano made 37 consecutive field goal attempts, a Giants record that tied him with Seattle's Jason Myers for the fourth-longest streak in history and was seven fewer than Adam Vinatieri's record of 44. The streak ended when Gano missed a 35-yard try at New Orleans. Gano shattered the previous Giants record of 29 games in a row set by Brown from 2014-15.

With the Giants, Gano has also succeeded on 70 of 74 extra points tries (94.6%). He has scored 337 points for the Giants, the 12th-highest total in franchise history, with a high of 119 points in 2022.

In 2022, Gano made 29 of 32 field goal attempts (90.6%) and 32 of 34 extra point tries for 119 points, the fifth-highest total of his career, his 10th 100-point season, and the most by a Giants kicker since Aldrick Rosas scored 127 points in 2018. Two of his missed attempts were a blocked kick vs. Carolina on Sept. 18 and a 58-yarder into the wind on the last play of overtime in the 20-20 tie vs. Washington on Dec. 4. He had touchbacks on 50 of 79 kickoffs (63.3%).

Gano set a Giants record with eight field goals of 50+ yards, one more than he had in 2021. His eight long field goals placed him in a three-way tie for the league's fourth-highest total. Las Vegas' Daniel Carlson had 11, and Dallas' Brett Maher, Indianapolis' Chase McLaughlin and Baltimore's Justin Tucker all had nine. Gano tied Brandon McManus, then with Denver.

He received his fifth career NFC Special Teams Player of the Week award – and his second in as many years after a victory against Carolina - after kicking field goals of 36 and 33 yards in the first quarter and 51 and 56 yards in the fourth, the latter providing the game's decisive points with 3:34 remaining, in a 19-16 victory vs. the Panthers on Sept. 18. Gano has the only two games in Giants history in which a kicker booted a pair of 50+-yard field goals in the fourth quarter or overtime. On Sept. 16, 2021, in Washington, he kicked 52 and 55-yarders – plus a 35-yarder – in the fourth.

Gano tied the record for the longest field goal in Giants history with a 57-yarder at Dallas on Thanksgiving Day. It was the longest field goal on the road in franchise history. Rosas kicked the Giants' only other 57-yarder, vs. Chicago on Dec. 2, 2018.

In the recently completed preseason, Gano succeeded on all six of his field goal attempts, the shortest from 40 yards and the longest from 57 yards.

Gano previously played for Washington (2009-11) and Carolina (2012-19). He did not play in 2020.

Gano has played in 184 regular-season and nine postseason games. He has connected on 313 of 370 field goal attempts (84.6%) and 376 of 395 extra point tries (95.2%) in the regular season. In the postseason, Gano has made 13 of 16 field goal attempts (81.3%) and all 23 of his PATs.

Gano has made 40 of 60 (66.7%) of his field goal attempts from 50+ yards, with a long of 61 yards. He has scored 1,315 regular-season points and exceeded 100 points in each of the 10 seasons in which he played at least 16 games. Gano has scored 62 postseason points.
