NFL Combine Primer: Everything you need to know

The 2019 NFL Scouting Combine is upon us.

Coaches, general managers, scouts, team medical staffs and more than 300 prospects are making their way to Indianapolis right now for the week-long job interview. Giants.com again will be there all week, so stay tuned for live press conferences and special editions of “Big Blue Kickoff Live” from the Indiana Convention Center. NFL Network will also provide extensive coverage of the event.

WHAT: 2019 NFL Scouting Combine

WHO: Top prospects eligible for the 2019 NFL Draft and select NFL head coaches and general managers

WHERE: Lucas Oil Stadium

WHEN: Below is the workout schedule, with each position group set to address the media the day prior to its workout. In addition, Giants coach Pat Shurmur (10 a.m.) and general manager Dave Gettleman (11:45 a.m.) will speak on Wednesday.

  • Friday, Mar 1: PK, ST, OL, RB
  • Saturday, Mar 2: QB, WO, TE
  • Sunday, Mar 3: DL, LB
  • Monday, Mar 4: DB

TV: NFL Network will provide live coverage of on-field drills Friday through Monday, and ABC will broadcast two hours of live coverage of quarterback and wide receiver drills on Saturday, March 2, starting at 1 p.m. ET.

The on-field workouts, medical examinations and team interviews are all done in advance of the NFL Draft, which this year takes place April 25-27 in Nashville. The Giants, who were recently awarded a fifth-round compensatory selection, hold 10 picks beginning with the sixth overall choice.
