Updated 2026 NFL Draft order: Giants now own 2 picks in top 10

DRAFT-ORDER-UPDATED-2026

The New York Giants shook up the draft order just days before it was set to begin.

The team traded three-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for their No. 10 overall pick. The Giants, who already owned the No. 5 choice, now have two selections in the top 10 to kick off the John Harbaugh era.

Updated New York Giants 2026 Draft Order:

  • Round 1 – No. 5
  • Round 1 – No. 10 (from CIN)
  • Round 2 – No. 37
  • Round 4 – No. 105
  • Round 5 – No. 145
  • Round 6 – No. 186
  • Round 6 – No. 192 (from MIA)
  • Round 6 – No. 193 (from DAL)

NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah released his fourth ranking of the top 50 prospects in the 2026 NFL Draft.

The 91st Annual National Football League Player Selection Meeting will take place April 23-25 in Pittsburgh. The first round will begin at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, followed by Rounds 2-3 on Friday (7 p.m.) and Rounds 4-7 on Saturday (noon).

There will be 257 selections, including 33 compensatory choices that have been awarded to 15 teams. The Giants, who picked up an extra third-round choice in 2025 and used it in a package to trade up for quarterback Jaxson Dart, did not receive one this year. A team losing more free agents than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks.

New for 2026, the time between first-round selections has been shortened from 10 minutes to eight minutes. It is the first timing adjustment since 2008, when the allotment dropped from 15 minutes to 10 minutes.

2026 Draft Timing

  • Round 1: Eight minutes per selection
  • Round 2: Seven minutes per selection
  • Rounds 3-6: Five minutes per selection
  • Round 7: Four minutes per selection
