ROSTER-MOVE-PRIMEPOINT

Upon returning from West Virginia, the Giants signed defensive back JT Woods and released defensive lineman Sam Roberts.

Woods was a third-round pick (No. 79 overall) in the 2022 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-2, 193-pound safety played in 13 total games with one start for the Los Angeles Chargers across the 2022 and 2023 campaigns. He totaled eight tackles (seven solo) and also spent time on special teams.

The young defensive back then went on spend time with the Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks, Las Vegas Raiders, and New York Jets over the last two seasons.

Prior to being drafted, Woods spent four years at Baylor where he played in 50 games with 28 starts. As a senior in 2021, he led the Big 12 with six interceptions and finished fourth on the team with 57 total tackles. He was voted All-Big 12 Honorable Mention by the league's coaches.

He finished his collegiate career with 157 total tackles (113 solo), one sack, seven tackles for loss, nine interceptions, 14 pass breakups, four fumble recoveries and two defensive touchdowns.

Roberts signed with the Giants in March and began training camp on the physically unable to perform list.
