Six Giants did not travel with the team to Chicago: kicker Graham Gano (neck), cornerback Paulson Adebo (knee), outside linebacker Victor Dimukeje (shoulder), inside linebacker Darius Muasau (ankle), defensive lineman Chauncey Golston (neck), and wide receiver Beaux Collins (neck). Starting center John Michael Schmitz (shin) was also ruled out.
Dimukeje had been listed as doubtful on the final injury report of the week but was then downgraded to out. Starting right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor (pec) and safety Jevón Holland (knee) were questionable heading into Sunday.
Eluemunor missed Week 9 and Holland has not played since Week 7 in Denver.
Gano's injury means that veteran Younghoe Koo will make his Giants debut. He was elevated from the practice squad on Saturday, along with wide receiver Ray-Ray McCloud for the second consecutive game.
Koo, who has been on the practice squad since Sept. 23 after he was released by the Atlanta Falcons, made a Pro Bowl in 2020. He has been named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week four times and NFC Special Teams Player of the Month twice.
Koo, 5-10 and 195 pounds, had been with Atlanta since 2019 after starting his career in 2017 with the Los Angeles Chargers, the Giants' Week 4 opponent. He also had a brief stint on New England Patriots' practice squad in 2019.
Koo has made 181 of 211 field goal attempts (85.8 percent) in 93 career games. His longest is 58 yards, which he kicked with two seconds remaining in a 26-24 victory over the New Orleans Saints in Week 4 of the 2024 season.
Koo has been successful on all 52 of his field goal attempts inside of 30 yards; 52 of 56 (92.9 percent) from 30-39 yards; 48 of 63 (76.2 percent) from 40-49 yards; and 29 of 40 (72.5 percent) from 50+ yards. He has also made 175 of 182 extra point attempts (96.2) to give him a scoring total of 718 points. His 700 kicking points with the Falcons are third-most in the history of the franchise. Koo has also handled 200 kickoffs with 98 touchbacks (49.0 percent).
Koo made 27 consecutive field goals in 2020, the longest streak in a single season in Falcons history and the second-longest streak in franchise history overall.
Koo was originally signed by the Chargers as a free agent following the 2017 NFL Draft.
Born in Seoul, South Korea, Koo played at Ridgewood High School in New Jersey.
The Giants also signed linebackers Zaire Barnes and Tomon Fox to the active roster from the practice squad.
Additionally, Collins and Muasau were placed on injured reserve.
The Bears, meanwhile, ruled out four players on their final injury report: defensive back Josh Blackwell (concussion), linebacker T.J. Edwards (hand/hamstring), defensive lineman Dominique Robinson (ankle), and wide receiver Jahdae Walker (concussion). Running back D'Andre Swift (groin) and tight end Durham Smythe (calf) were questionable.
Chicago also elevated tight end Stephen Carlson from the practice squad for Sunday's game, signed linebacker Carl Jones Jr. to the practice squad, and released wide receiver Miles Boykin from the practice squad.
