Board, who signed with the Giants this offseason, suffered a chest injury in Sunday's game at Dallas and was ruled out. He is the second inside linebacker to be placed on injured reserve in as many weeks after Micah McFadden suffered a foot injury in the season opener.

Bozeman, 6-1 and 230 pounds, will now join the unit on the active roster. After being signed to the practice squad on Aug. 28, Bozeman was elevated for Week 2 and played 24 special teams snaps in addition to five on defense.

Bozeman spent last season with Kansas City as an undrafted rookie out of Southern Mississippi. Bozeman played in the Chiefs' final six games, including all three in the postseason. He appeared in Super Bowl LIX and recorded two special teams tackles.

Cambre, a 6-foot, 192-pound undrafted rookie from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, spent the offseason with the Giants before they waived him during final roster reductions on Aug. 26. He caught two passes for 45 yards

Hewitt, 6-2 and 234 pounds, comes to the Giants' practice squad as a veteran exception. He has played in 146 games (48 starts) for the Dolphins (2015-2017), Jets (2018-2020) and Texans (2021-2024). Hewitt, who was a free agent, played in all 17 games for the Texans last season and made four starts. He has also appeared in five postseason games, including two in each of the last two seasons with Houston.

Jacobs, 6-1 and 241 pounds, was released by the Titans on Aug. 27. He played nine games (two starts) for the Patriots as a rookie last season after starting his NFL journey with the Chiefs.
