S Tyler Nubin, Giants' second-round draft pick, signs rookie contract

Safety Tyler Nubin, the Giants' second-round pick (47th overall) from the University of Minnesota, signed his rookie deal on Friday at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center. The Giants now have their entire six-player draft class under contract heading into the final week of OTAs and minicamp.

Nubin played in 55 games with 43 starts in five seasons at Minnesota. He intercepted a school-record 13 passes and led the Gophers in picks in each of his final four years, including a career-high five in 2023. Nubin also tallied 207 tackles (143 solo), 4.5 stops for loss, 2.0 sacks, 24 passes defensed, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery. He was a four-time Academic All-Big Ten selection (2020-23).

Nubin was asked at rookie minicamp what Giants fans can expect to see from him in the future.

"You're getting a dog," he said. "You are getting somebody that's not going to stop until -- honestly just never going to stop really. I love the game too much. I feel like whatever I have to do to be successful on the field, I'm going to do and sacrifice for this team, this city, and I'm going to love doing it."
