3 Giants make PFF's Team of the Week

The Giants put together one of their best performances of the season in Las Vegas on Sunday on their way to their first win since Week 6.

Numerous players stood out on both sides of the ball, several of which have been recognized by the media.

Three Giants were selected to Pro Football Focus' Team of the Week, starting with outside linebacker Brian Burns.

Burns continued his dominant season with 1.5 sacks and three quarterback hits. This brought his sack total up to 16.5 on the season, which ties Jason Pierre-Paul (2011) for the fourth-most in a single season by any Giant, while his 30 quarterback hits tied Leonard Williams (2020) for the most by any Giant since QB hits began being tracked in 2006.

Burns ranks second in the NFL in sacks, third in tackles for loss and fourth in quarterback hits. The veteran was named to his third Pro Bowl last week, his first with the Giants, and appears to be well on his way to an All-Pro selection.

Next up is safety Dane Belton, who rose to the occasion when given an expanded opportunity. The Giants placed Tyler Nubin on injured reserve Saturday, while fellow starting safety JevĂłn Holland suffered a knee injury in the first half and was unable to return.

This led to Belton playing 100 percent of the team's defensive snaps, which resulted in the fourth-year safety recording seven total tackles, tied with Bobby Okereke for the most on the team, along with a key interception late in the game that led to the Giants' fourth and final touchdown.

PFF credited Belton with allowing just one reception for 13 yards on 39 coverage snaps, which earned him a passer rating against of 31.3.

The third Giant to make PFF's Team of the Week is cornerback Deonte Banks, who was recognized due to his contributions on special teams.

After a Raiders touchdown late in the third quarter brought the Giants' lead down to 10 points, Banks returned the ensuing kickoff 95 yards to the end zone for a touchdown, the first of his NFL career.

While honored for his play on special teams, Banks also finished the game with three solo tackles and two passes defensed.
