Practice No. 2 is in the books.
The Giants continued to ramp up the intensity at The Greenbrier Resort on Thursday in West Virginia, their summer home for 10 days as they prepare for the 2026 season. Thursday also marked the first time fans were attendance for a Giants practice with John Harbaugh as head coach.

Touchdowns & takeaways
Today's touchdowns and takeaways were one and the same. Kayvon Thibodeaux started the day with an interception during a situational team period. The fifth-year outside linebacker tipped the pass to himself, corralled it, and ran it the other way for the score.
Thibodeaux batted a pass in yesterday's practice, and Harbaugh spoke today about the importance of those plays in the grand scheme of the game.
"I like to see a lot of that," the head coach said about Thibodeaux's play on Thursday. "That's what you want to see. He's a pretty athletic guy. He's aware. He does have good hands. The ability to rush the passer and also the awareness to bat balls down is massive. Batted balls is a big stat in defensive football in terms of getting off the field. So, it's something we work on. We do not coach our guys against batting balls down in any drill we do. We want to practice it."
Zvada wins it for the 3rd team
Practice concluded with a two-minute situation for all three strings.
With the offense needing a field goal to win it, the first-team defense got off the field thanks to a few would-be sacks, including one from Abdul Carter, and a pass breakup by inside linebacker Tremaine Edmunds.
After the second team also stalled offensively, the third team claimed victory thanks to a 57-yard field goal as time expired by undrafted rookie Dominic Zvada. Quarterback Brandon Allen had gotten them into position and spiked the ball with one second remaining.
Zvada, the 2024 Big Ten Kicker of the Year at Michigan, has been in a kicking competition with returning Giant Ben Sauls. It was a three-legged race until the Giants released veteran Jason Sanders in early June.
Catch of the day
Tight end Isaiah Likely showed his receiving skills during 7-on-7 drills. One in particular stood out as the former Raven pulled in a pass from Jaxson Dart with one hand and secured it for a catch. Harbaugh has said since early spring that Dart is going to really like Likely running routes and being in his line of vision.
Notable
Harbaugh praised Carter for having two good practices to start his second NFL training camp.
"He's had two good practices. He's doing everything well right now. He was in the backfield quite a bit. He's going against a really good tackle (Andrew Thomas), too. Those guys are making each other better."
Harbaugh added, "He looked good. He's not the only guy."
Dart dropped in a handful of perfect passes to his receivers, including Darnell Mooney in the first team period.
There was a sequence later in team drills when Devin Singletary broke a few long runs, followed by another from Tyrone Tracy Jr. Cam Skattebo, a fellow running back and a boisterous one at that, let everyone in attendance at The Greenbrier know how much he appreciated the offensive line on the plays.
Chauncey Golston, a versatile defender in the front seven, nearly had an interception but settled for the breakup.
