Notes and stats to get you ready for the Week 5 matchup between the New York Giants (3-1) and Washington Commanders (1-3).

6

The Giants have notched six interceptions, tied with the Jaguars and Seahawks for the NFL lead entering Week 5. The six picks are the most by the Giants through four weeks since they had seven at this point in 2014.

6-0

Dan Quinn is 6-0 against the Giants as head coach (4-0 with Commanders, 2-0 with Falcons). He is one of two head coaches in NFL history with an undefeated record against the Giants, minimum five games, according to Stats Perform. The other is Sean McVay (5-0).

John Harbaugh was 2-0 against Quinn with the Ravens, defeating the Falcons in 2018 and Commanders in 2024.

11

This is the 11th time Harbaugh has led a team to a 3-1 start. He made the postseason in eight of the previous 10 instances.

18

Last week, the Giants improved to 5-0 when Cam Skattebo has at least 18 rushing attempts. They are 0-7 when he has 17 carries or fewer.

21

At 21 years and 35 days old, Arvell Reese became the youngest Giants player and ninth-youngest NFL player in the Super Bowl era to record an interception. The rookie leads the league with 26 solo tackles on defense heading into Week 5.

25

For the first time since 2006, the Giants have not allowed a single run of 25 yards or more through four games. Last week, the Giants allowed nine yards per carry in the first quarter (nine attempts for 81 yards) to the Cardinals. After making defensive adjustments, they allowed three yards per carry the rest of the way (42 yards on 14 attempts).

Washington boasts three players (running backs Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Rachaad White and quarterback Jayden Daniels) with at least 100 rushing yards, tied for the most in the NFL, according to NFL Research.

50

Dominic Zvada is the first Giants rookie to make three 50-yard field goals, and there are still 13 games remaining in the season. The only NFL rookie to make three or more 50-yarders last season was New England's Andy Borregales (four).

98

Deonte Banks' 98-yard walk-off interception return is the league's second-longest touchdown with no time left on the clock since the 1970 merger, according to Stats Perform. Safety Brock Marion had a 100-yard interception return to end a game on Jan. 6, 2002, but his Dolphins were already leading the Bills by 20 points. Banks was named NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance, which also included four tackles and four passes defensed.

108

The Giants are 108-75-5 all-time against the Commanders, including postseason. The 108 victories are one short of the most ever by any NFL franchise over another. The Packers have 109 wins over the Bears, and the NFC North rivals will also meet on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

Most wins vs. any opponent (regular season + postseason)

  1. Packers (vs. Bears) – 109
  2. Packers (vs. Lions) – 108
  3. Giants (vs. Commanders) – 108
  4. Bears (vs. Lions) – 105
  5. Bears (vs. Packers) – 98

With five receptions, Malik Nabers can become the fourth player in NFL history to record 150 catches receptions in fewer than 25 career games, joining Odell Beckham Jr., Michael Thomas and Brock Bowers.
