Roster-building doesn't end with the draft.
In addition to their 11-man draft class, the New York Giants announced the signings of 13 undrafted free agents heading into rookie minicamp. They will have an opportunity just like everyone else to make the final roster in the fall and can start to showcase their skills in the upcoming OTAs and rookie minicamp.
"When we got here, where the roster was, we had to add a lot of pieces, and there's only so many resources," general manager Joe Schoen said at the conclusion of last month's draft. "So we did the best we could this weekend, and we'll continue to do that in free agency. Again, players might have gotten drafted over somebody else, so what that means is maybe next week there's going to be some cuts and may be some veterans that are on the street because they drafted over players on their current roster. We don't play until September. Our location in the claim order, the final cutdown will be important or as players are cut. The roster is never finished. It won't be finished during the season, and we'll always be looking to upgrade."

TE Austin Allen
College: Nebraska | Height: 6-9 | Weight: 255 lbs.
The 2021 Big Ten Tight End of the Year, Austin Allen started all 12 games in a record-breaking final season at Nebraska. He caught 38 passes for 602 yards, the most season receptions and season receiving yards by a tight end in Nebraska history. Allen ranked second on the team in receptions, receiving yards and receiving yards per game (50.2) in 2021.
In the regular season, Allen led all Big Ten tight ends and ranked 13th nationally among tight ends in receiving yards. His average of 15.8 yards per reception also led all Big Ten tight ends and ranked sixth nationally among all tight ends. In addition to winning the Kwalick-Clark Tight End of the Year Award, Allen earned first-team All-Big Ten honors from the conference media.
RB Jashaun Corbin
College: Florida State | Height: 6-0 | Weight: 221 lbs.
