Notes and stats to get you ready for Sunday's matchup between the Giants and 49ers at MetLife Stadium:
5: Quarterback Jaxson Dart was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for October, becoming the fifth different Giant to win the award since 2002. The others are: wide receiver Hakeem Nicks (October of 2009), safety Gibril Wilson (October of 2004), tight end Jeremy Shockey (November and December of 2002), and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (November and December of 2014).
8-4-5: According to NFL Research, Dart is the only quarterback in the Super Bowl era with at least eight passing touchdowns, four rushing touchdowns, and fewer than five giveaways in his first five career starts.
10.0: Outside linebacker Brian Burns enters Sunday tied with Cleveland's Myles Garrett, a former NFL Defensive Player of the Year, for the league lead in sacks with 10.0. That puts them on pace for 21.3 sacks. The NFL single-season record is 22.5 sacks, shared by Michael Strahan (2001) and T.J. Watt (2021).
34.6: San Francisco has converted 34.6 percent of third downs with 10+ yards to go, the highest rate in the NFL.

26.1: Giants opponents have an average starting field position of 26.1 yards, the lowest in the league.
266.2: Since taking over the injured Brock Purdy, 49ers quarterback Mac Jones is third in the NFL in passing yards per game (266.2) in 2025 among qualified players.
196: San Francisco running back Christian McCaffrey leads the NFL in touches (196) and is second in yards from scrimmage (1,049). McCaffrey has accounted for 48.2 percent of the 49ers' touches, the highest rate in the league. Last week, he became the fifth player in NFL history to reach 5,000 career rush yards and 5,000 career receiving yards, joining Marshall Faulk, Lenny Moore, Marcus Allen, and Tiki Barber.
.500: With a win, the Giants would even the all-time series with the 49ers. The Giants currently trail 22-21, including a 4-4 record in eight postseason meetings.
135: Entering 2025, teams had lost 135 consecutive games when trailing by 15 or more points entering the fourth quarter, including the postseason. There have been four such wins so far in 2025 (Buffalo in Week 1, Tennessee Week 5, Denver in Week 7, and the New York Jets in Week 8).
-4: The 49ers are 5-3 but have a negative point differential (160-164). Their first five games of the season (when they went 4-1) were decided by an average of 3.6 points. Their three most recent games (when they went 1-2) were decided by an average of 10.7 points.
